My years of looking for the perfect Pomodoro timer are over. The individual timers are great, but, best of all, you can create a "set" of related timers and save it (it has extension .timerset; it's actually a text document) . This makes it perfect for the Pomodoro technique, which requires three different timers (25 minutes, short break, long break). You can customize each one (ticking, alarm sound). If you get information for a saved timerset (cmd-i), change the app that opens it to "Timer" and you will be open the set by double-clicking. Although Timer hasn't been updated for some time, it is stable and has never crashed in OS X 10.8.5. If it hadn't been free, I probably would have never tried it. Thanks Sonoroa Graphics!

OS X 10.7.5

Major issues with last few updates. Creating a selection just creates a dark overlay, making the text beneath nearly unreadable. Clicking on URL, Mail, or page links doesn't work any more. I've uninstalled Skim reverted to Adobe Reader and PDFPen Pro; both have decent annotation capabilities.

I've had to rely on AR in any case for very large, complicated documents that choke Skim (e.g. Stata documentation, 100's or 1,000's of linked documents in a single TOC. Writing here because the bug reporting system for SourceForge is Byzantine.

I've had to rely on AR in any case for very large, complicated documents, e.g. Stata documentation, > 100 linked documents in a single TOC.

The problems I reported with the previous version are gone. One minor annoyance is that one must push a button to do just about everything. There's no keyboard shortcut, for example, to add or delete a record. But this is minor. But I look forward to the evolution of this program. I had a lot of experience with 4D in the past, and I appreciate the effort that is going into this app. Somewhat strangely, one of the -help- links take one right to 4D documentation of doubtful relevance (the "CVG" pages.

It's "beta", but as someone else stated, really "alpha". Simple things don't work. I tried to create a table. Wrote down fields in order, but each new one went to the top of the list and re-order appears impossible. Saving the table with 3 simple fields failed for no good reason that I could see. For a free Mac relational database program with form entry, the Base program in one of the *-Office suites is the only real choice.

I use the USB desktop version which has no background processes and backup my most critical files every 15 minutes. This has saved me many times.JD service is fine and I've never had an insoluble problem, and tech support has been helpful.

But the web and in-app Restore Windows are primitive, compared to, say, Mozy. The in-app restore window closes after a download. Meaning, that to download another file you must navigate than entire JD file system again. I complained over a year ago.

Very nice, but You must use the mouse to hit a "+" button to add a transaction, which slows up data entry. I'd like to see a way of doing it from the keyboard.. Shift-return is available, apparently, and I suggest that.

I was looking for an inexpensive, easy to use, snippet application for my wife. (I'd been using PTHPasteBoard and iKey.) AutoTyper was a candidate on price alone, as was mySnippets. When I tried AutoTyper on my own computer first, I discovered it so easy to use that I created a bunch of snippets for myself. Even more surprising were its flexibility and its advanced features, such as regular expression parsing, passing results from scripts.

Upshot: It is now my own app of choice for snippet insertion. I bought a family license for $18.99, a true bargain.
