A total disappointment. I have a fast computer but a 'slow' (1.5 mbps) DSL connection; the DSL connection may be part of the problem. However, with most login attempts Firefox fails to connect to my home page or any bookmark site within 30 seconds. At that point I give up and kill the browser and login in 5 to 10 seconds with Chrome or Chromium. Firefox has some great features, but in order to use them, you actually need to reach the Internet in a timely fashion.

Recently, I wrote that Opera did not have an Adblock extension. I was wrong. Opera's latest version 1156 has an ad blocking extension that appears to work. I will give Opera another try.

Opera is a decent browser, but it does not have any efficient and practical ad-blocking capability, such as provided by the "Adblock" extension in Chrome and Firefox. This means that I won't be using Opera until it provides this kind of ad-blocking capability.

I'm running Snow Leopard on the iMac 27 inch. After adding a torrent in new version 1.1, all the controls and menus in the uTorrent window become frozen, although downloads appear to continue. I have to quit and restart the app in order to access all the features in the window.

I'm running Snow Leopard on the iMac 27 inch. Firefox does not play web videos on my computer (plays sound but no picture). The problem exists in 3.6.13 and all six previous versions that I tested. Chrome and Safari work fine on my computer. Whatever the cause, the impact is that I can no longer use Firefox.

Chrome stopped working on my iMac about 2 months ago. The latest version (5.0.371) does not work. Oddly, Chromium works fine on my computer, as do all Chrome extensions running under Chromium.

Reply to Developer:

App would not accept the first letter of any company stock symbol that I attempted to enter.

Symbols could not be added to the app and stock quotes could not be obtained. (The basic 'Growl' app is installed on my computer, also OSX 10.6.3.)

Xtorrent is not so good. I had been using utorrent, but because utorrent blocks normal shutdown on my systems, I decided to see if I could find a better program. I tried many free programs. Eventually, I tried Xtorrent. After I ran into problems running Xtorrent, I compared Xtorrent and utorrent on the same files. In my tests, downloads of movies and TV shows started sooner and downloaded faster on utorrent. I am back to using utorrent, although Transmission and BitTorrent have some good features too. In my experience, Xtorrent is an inferior program and should be avoided.

Program appears to install correctly (March 2010) in the 'Applications' folder. When the program is selected, the program's drop-down headings (Chrome, File, Edit, etc.) will appear in the menu bar. However, the program otherwise will not launch. There is no error message.
