I'm new to Mac and not a "power" user. I have many duplicate files I've moved from Windows, some dating back to DOS days. I've only used this program a few days and find it very accurate when file name, size and "checksum" are identical, but it seems awkward to use. When I highlight a page and double-click to open, it's not consistent. Some bars open to show the duplicate files and some do not. Some do not stay open. The only efficient way I've found is to have everything on a page open so I can, Command-select the obvious duplicates and Command-delete those selected. It's confusing that both the title bar and the line selected for deletion are blue. And that box that pops up for every single deletion, since I never select all the files under the bar to be deleted, is very annoying. That's why only doing it by page seems worthwhile. I'd pay more for an easier-to-use interface with the ability to search the entire hard drive and other niceties of this program. There may be better ways to use this program that I have not figured out. Also, several times I have unwittingly unleashed an unending cascade of windows that only the OFF button can stop.

I bought this from the App Store (didn't yet know about MacUpdate) when I first got a MacBook Pro in February 2012. Transferring old files from 20 years on Windows with ga-zillion duplicates. This is a pretty program, easy to use, relatively quick to scan. My complaints are that it is tedious to click the box for every duplicate file. I would like to group mark and then deselect the one file I prefer to keep. When I tried that feature it told me the files were too sensitive - and I would like to do that one grouping at a time. The other BIG issue is that I can scan the same folder multiple times and it will continue to pop up duplicates. I don't understand why all of the duplicates in that single folder don't come up on the first scan.
