I purchased GC9 from the App Store but the download still requires a registration key which neither Apple of the developer have sent me!

OK problem solved! You have to completely unistall any old and/or trial versions. Dragging these to the Trash is not enough (in my case at least). The support files in /private/var and ~/Library need to be deleted as well. This can be achieved by use of sudo in the Terminsl or via a tool such as AppCleaner

Running a daily build of Ubuntu 13.04 as a Guest OS. Unity 3D seems to be working now but it's not as fast as Gnome Session Fallback. But hopefully that's down to Ubuntu being a beta.

Sadly still problems with Ubuntu 12.10 when accelerated 3D selected- no menus showing on Desktop etc. I think someone should keep banging the head of the Ubuntu CEO against that of VirtualBox until they sort this out.

No problem in VMWare Fusion 5 but I don't have a copy of Parallels.

It may be free but it's certainly not purr-fect! I will try to import my VMWare machine into VirtualBox via ovftool and see what happens. Merry Christmas :)

I managed to import my VMWare Fusion VM into VirtualBox via ovftool but to no avail. As soon as the Guest Additions are applied and 3D video enabled, all menus disappear from the Desktop environment :( According to the VirtualBox forums, they "are working hard at resolving several difficult issues around this major change in the distros and their upstream providers related to hardware/software 3D rendering." So don't use Ubuntu 12.10 on VirtualBox for the time being.

Ubuntu 12.10 display still very slow. X.org issues reported elsewhere.

I agree with fwjordaan comments! Version 1.1.1 is no better. It is utterly useless!
