Why are these Topaz plugins appearing on Macupdate as though they were updates? They are not. The only one that's been updated recently is Simplify.

Excellent software but please note that $99 becomes £79 in the UK rather than the £60.50 it should be at this exact moment. Yes they are adding VAT but that still does not add up.

This is a very high quality piece of software. It is powerful, quick and has great flexibility. It is definitely superior to most of its rivals. Try the demo. I trust you will be as surprised and pleased as I am.

I think you'll find it requires 10.7. Annoying finding this out the hard way.

I'm on 10.6.8. The problem was that version 2.1.4 would simply vanish when I tried to open it and 2.0.5 would open instead. I now believe this is because they simply want you to buy it again. I can find no upgrade path for a programme I only bought this summer.

As to SpamSurfer's comment - it isn't a question of money that stops many of us from "upgrading" to Mountain Lion. It's not wanting to join the rush to integration with iOS. Snow Leopard is the best OS for desktop computers being the last OS to support Rosetta and the many programmes we use everyday. You use your phone OS if you like, some of us far prefer 10.6. And by the way, your reply was unnecessarily snarky. There's no need to be a dick.

Anyone else uneasy about how Dropbox makes itself at home? It installs itself in every Finder window toolbar and sidebar without so much as a by-your-leave. This is in addition to putting itself among your log-in items and becoming a permanent menu item. All without asking. If you use Little Snitch you soon find out how many connections it makes automatically. It may be great software, it may be the future and all that, but it certainly is intrusive. Is this of concern to anyone else?

When updating from within Screeny it says it is for 10.7 Lion only, not 10.6 as it says here. Too bad for those of us who won't go the Lion?/Mountain Lion route of integration with iOS.

This is a superb programme for anyone interested in the guitar. It is astonishingly flexible, with a depth of features and a wealth of possibilities that is quite unique. As if that weren't enough, the developer is the most responsive and helpful one I've ever encountered. Highly recommended.

This update seems to have killed Rosetta stone dead. This means I can no longer use Photoshop CS, among other things which is important as some really good plugins don't work with later versions of PS. (I heard the rumour that Apple were going to kill off Rosetta in Lion anyway. Is this a pre-emptive strike?)
Anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution?

My comment referred to update 2011-03. As it happens it was a conflict which was specific only to my system. An Ittec file it seems.
But yes Lion kills Rosetta and that's why I'm not upgrading for the moment.

It's not often that fairness prevails so quickly. Many thanks to all at MU for their efforts to sort out the bundle/upgrade fee mess and to Lemke for seeing sense. Honour is restored and goodwill reinstated. Well done.
