Why did the default file copy operation behavior change from v5 to v6? This has not been a change for the better. Here is what I mean:

Let's say you are copying a folder with 15 files from one location to another. Then for whatever reason, you stop the copy operation when Path Finder is in the middle of copying the 12th file. In v5, the 11 files that have completed copying would remain in the new location. But in v6, all the files disappear in the new location whenever you stop a copy operation in progress.

Why was this change made? It doesn't make any sense.

@gatovadio:

Thanks for trying to help. However, the issue I am experiencing has nothing to do with the file operations window redesign. In my example, I am copying a SINGLE folder with multiple files in it (i.e., it is a SINGLE file operation), so there is no queuing of any kind going on.

For some reason, the developer has fundamentally changed how copying files works in practically every normal file browser (like v5): when you cancel a large ongoing copy operation before it has completed, the file browser should leave those files that were completely copied in the new location, not erase them.

I really would like to know the logic behind why this kind of change was implemented.

I used to use Trim the Fat, which is very nice. However, this application definitely has the nice features to justify the nominal price.

I also love the developers - they are extremely responsive to both feedback and bug fixes.

Gets a 5 stars for me.
