I have been using this software for a few months now, and the only time it crashed for me was when I scrolled through a file with the slider. It converted my files ok.

My only negative comment is there is no way to pass back feedback on the site, so hopefully the developer will monitor this site.

Enhancement request, the ability to snap a frame to a file, preferably lossless

Please keep up the good work.

Apologies for the multiple replies, the MacUpdate comment system failed with an error, so thinking it was a problem with the text, kept editing it and eventually gave up. Hence the multiple entries

phoning home on start up not fixed, and no option to turn it off in preferences.

Pfoomer replied on 08 Jul 2013
From my experience in the OSX environment it is not the norm to phone home on each startup.

In my organization it is regarded as a security risk and is blocked, not everybody is capable of doing this.
If the blocking results in non-operation the software is not used, an alternative is chosen.
Also not everybody is on unlimited traffic usage, some still are metered or have a usage cap.

This may be the norm in Windows world, but not OSX land.

Visiting the site gives a

The website “https://gpgtools.org” is requesting 1 MB of disk space to store “sqlite_evercookie” as a database on your disk.

Why is this?

Read my reply, which was a question.
Re the stars as I have not assed it I cannot rate it, and a no stars to signify this is not possible.

I fail to understand why this company cannot get it right, more updates than microsoft!!!

Worked out of the box except for the graph.
Recompiled the source (no issues, its a nb project), graph works ok.
Great for checking out a problem I had with a local server.

Please note..

This version is also 64 bit only, which makes it much faster, but requires Snow Leopard to run.

On my Mac mini Model Identifier: Macmini1,1 on boot up the fan stays at 0000 rpm until the temperature increases to about 50C, then it startsup and runs to the minimum selected speed.

After that no problem until the next cold start.

This behavior is not apparent on my intel imac, works perfectly.

Building on OSX requires svn checkout,

svn co svn://svn.transmissionbt.com/Transmission/trunk Transmission
svn: Can't connect to host 'svn.transmissionbt.com': Host is down

See the last line, thats why

On Mac OSX

Transmission has an Xcode project file (Transmission.xcodeproj) for building in Xcode. Make sure you have this software:

Mac OS X 10.6 or newer
Mac OS X 10.6 SDK
Xcode 3.2 or newer
(Found on your OS installation disk, or from the Apple Developer website)

Building the project on Mac requires the source to be retrieved from SVN. Pre-packaged source code will not compile.

If you cannot/will not provide a working svn service please remove references to it from your web site.

svn co svn://svn.transmissionbt.com/Transmission/trunk Transmission
svn: Can't connect to host 'svn.transmissionbt.com': Host is down

Pfoomer replied on 11 Dec 2010

Had you taken the trouble to look properly at the posts, you would have seen that its been like that since 17 October 2010, when I tried to download the code from svn as stated on the page as a requirement for an OSX build.

I do not feel I was rude, I used no profanities in my post.

If you are unable to provide a service don't advertise it.

Pfoomer replied on 11 Dec 2010
Ok, I tried this

mymac:~ dooper$ telnet svn.transmissionbt.com 3690
Trying 2001:41d0:1:aa81:2::1...
telnet: connect to address 2001:41d0:1:aa81:2::1: Host is down
telnet: connect to address Host is down
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host
mymac:~ dooper$ telnet svn.transmissionbt.com 80
Trying 2001:41d0:1:aa81:2::1...
telnet: connect to address 2001:41d0:1:aa81:2::1: No route to host
Connected to transmissionbt.com.
Escape character is '^]'.

First try on svn port 3690, no go, second try on http port 80, success, same ip address.

Can you confirm you are using port 3690 for svn?

I confirm there is no blocking of port 3690 on my router.

Pfoomer replied on 12 Dec 2010
Solved, it would appear osx supplies a very old version of svn, 1.4.4

Upgrading to the latest from the official non apple site and ensuring its in your path allows the download.

I am not sure at what version this happened, but request that you put on the web site that if you experience problems, to install the latest svn version.

thanks for your assistance

Running this set lots of alerts on Liitle Snitch where the program (Email Archiver) was trying to connect to various url's.

I suspect, by looking at the url's, that this in not being done on purpose, however for a non Little Snitch (or other similiar package) user they would not know this is happening.
