I've tested many AV apps and this one detects almost all Mac malware. It's lightweight, so the protection is basic.

It doesn't have a web shield like Sophos and Avast, but that's okay with me. These shields give problems with Little Snitch and 1Password. Those utilities must work on my iMac, so Avira is the best choice for me.

I was looking for a music player that just plays my music and Vox is my choice. Managing my music library is a task for iTunes, playing the music is a task for Vox.

It has a small memory footprint, nice features like cross fading, iTunes integration, Last.fm support, … Some minor features are missing, it doesn't update iTunes play counts and other meta data.

Vox uses 4% CPU on my old 2009 iMac. CPU hog? I don't think so!

I bought it from the Mac App store and I noticed the 1.5 release yesterday. So I decided to give it a second try.

The Pins menu key combination works now. You still must select a link or folder, before you can drag it. If you don't know this, you'll end up giving it up. This is a usable release, so I'll keep using it.

The Firefox extension is broken with Firefox 22. I hope this will be fixed soon!

I've tested most of the taggers for Mac and the one doing it all is Jaikoz. It's a complex application, so the ease of use is not that good.

It took me some days testing with different settings to get the best results. The more you work with it, the more you realize how powerful Jaikoz is.

I've tested many email clients and I'm always coming back to Sparrow. Very Macish interface, stable and easy to use.

I still love Firefox. It has a huge add-ons library, better bookmarks manager and memory usage. Did anyone check the memory usage of Google Chrome with a few tabs open? I use it daily and it's very stable.

I must be the last Firefox user on earth ;)

This email client is not intended for business use. That's a good thing :) It works perfect at home, is stylisch and is not overloaded with features you don't use. True Mac software!

I was searching a replacement for the Firefox RSS ticker (no hardware acceleration, hogs CPU) and found this one.

Runs smooth and can use other sources too. I had a question about this ticker and spaces. He replied immediately. Worth the price. Love It!

If you are looking for a beautiful monitor app, MiStat is your choice. Also, it does use almost no CPU. Give it a try!
