The Hit List is the best solution I have found for the rapid, powerful processing of notes, ideas, and tasks. The implementation of keyboard shortcuts is particularly excellent, as is the overall elegance and speed of the application. It is clear that a great deal of thought went into the design of the Hit List. I confess I hesitated because of the price -- it is on the hefty side -- but the nature of my job leaves me with a long, complicated set of tasks, notes, and things to track, and, in my opinion, only Omnifocus rivals the Hit List in power, and pales significantly in ease of use and elegance.

A very elegant little app, and already quite useful for simple mind mapping and for making quick lists. If I could add notes to the nodes in a side or bottom or floating panel I could get some serious work done with this. I will certainly follow the development of what might be a gem.
