Can't say how often CCC saved time, data (and my butt) over the last 11 years. I'm using CCC since 2002. I had about 200 Mac's to support. All of them needed the same programs, the same config, the same basic data on it. CCC saved me a lot of time, working in this big pre-press environment, so I donated for it when it still was donation ware. I'm still happy with this tool, even if I use it mostly for my private machines today.

CCC is not cheap, but worth every penny!

This was my preferred tool for years. I'm sad seeing it going abandoned.

Kiwi was an awesome Twitter client. Now it's an ADN-client. It doesn't say anything about this in the upgrade-window inside of Version 2.2. It's a different product now and that should have been clearly stated - not only on the developers webpage (which most people rarely visit) but first place in the update/upgrade-window.

Sorry guys, but this is bad information politics. I'm very disappointed.

This ist not the program I originally paid for - and for the update of my once favorite twitter client I was prepared to pay a small fee. I'm not willing to pay for a program for a completely different platform which I don't use and don't intend to use.

Got this with a MU-Bundle and gave it a try. (Wouldn't have bought it for this price).

For most "mainstream" music it does a decent job. But I have lots of non-mainstream and uncommon stuff - german, french, tchech, skandinavian, etc. About 130 GB - mostly my ripped CDs, even digitalized vinyl and tapes.

TuneUp recognized lots of single tracks and albums. Even stuff I did name poorly (e.g. "Track 1" and nothing else). You have to be very carefull though. There is always a chance it mixes up the order of tracks, gives wrong cover art or changes an already correct title/interpret/albumname to "various artists". This can be very annoying. If you notice an error early, you can go back. I needed this function several times.

Even with help from TuneUp I needed about a week to clean up my music collection. If I had had just mainstream stuff it would have been faster.

Didn't try the DeDuper-Function. I have several albums and samplers which share same tracks, but I didn't want to tear them apart. Also I didn't test the "fetch cover art" function. The standard clean up often gives the right cover art.

The Programm frequently freezes or shuts down unexpectedly. Can't find a pattern in this behavior. Of course it always needs an internet connection.

A nice function is the "Tuniverse". It looks up the lyrics, any youtube-vids and concerts if available. I don't need it, but it's a nice idea. If you want, you can share your favorite music with your Facebook account - which I don't have ^_^

I still had a lot of work to do by hand. But TuneUp saved me time on the more common stuff.

Ok, that's it. I'm back on 10.6 Server. I experimented with 10.7 Server and 10.8 Server. In comparison to older versions they suck. I have a small company network with servers and lots of fibre channel datastorage to run.

Maybe it's good for SOHO, but not for company use. I'm still willing to pay 400 to 500 bucks or even more for decent server software.

Seems like I have to look for alternatives in future.
