Have been using 1Password on Mac since 2007, absolutely love it and find it indispensable, and always praised the product to other Mac users who've also purchased it. User support has also been excellent.

We've always had a family license as it was great value, but when looking for a password manager for Windows today (as I now need to also use a Windows laptop for my business) I discovered it's a $50 upgrade to the Mac + Windows version. You have a great product, but I believe that combo package is overpriced, especially with what we've paid for 1Password upgrades over the years. Looks like I will be using KeePass portable on Windows...

Keep up the great work on 1Password for Mac though.

I also purchased this through MacUpdate and was most disappointed to discover that I couldn't edit text within the pdf, which is my main requirement. OK my fault for not checking this out thoroughly first. It's got some nice features which I might eventually get around to using, but for now it's not of much use to me.

So can someone please recommend an app which is not too expensive which I can use to edit text in a pdf? Thanks.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have found a temporary workaround which appears to be working, although it's labour intensive. I'm cropping the pdf to include the text I want, and then using OCR extraction to rtf, which I'm then importing into Word. It allows me to edit and reformat the text. There are 33 pdf's which I need to process and then compile into 1 document, but at least I'm getting what I'm after.

Will also check out the other apps you suggested. Thanks!

Actually the price is $9.99 and NOT 0.99 and has been since February!

Shake my head at you Leoofborg! Shame you have just jumped in without researching first. No - 7 months since purchased with NO meaningful updates AS PROMISED BY DEV'S!

So it's been a month, and no update(s) as promised. Something smells fishy...

Almost 2 months and no updates. Looks like a hit and run by these developers. George & Suresh you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Rubbish, it's now been 4 months and you have delivered NONE of the updates you promised. You are con artists, plain and simple. Sorry to have paid you $5 for this piece of abandonware...

There are already several useful Screencasts for V6 available: http://www.youtube.com/CocoatechPathfinder

I upgraded to v5 for $20 less than 3 months before v6 came out, but they won't give me a free upgrade and expect another $20 from me. That's pathetic. And they didn't even bother to email me to let me know that the new version had come out, and there was a discounted upgrade fee. I'm very disappointed...

I should add, they only mention a free upgrade if you've "bought" it within a few months of the upgrade coming out, but really I think 2 paid upgrades in less than 3 months is pretty unfair.

Detlefs, that is a pointless comment. I've been using PF since early 2008 and like to upgrade when there is a good reason to. I found early version of 5 unstable for me.

Robotank, that's your opinion, which is fine. The single reason I'm keen to upgrade to v6 is queued transfers. I am more pi$$ed off that Cocoatech didn't bother to let me know the new version was even out and there was a discounted upgrade fee of $15.

And BTW I had assumed the upgrade fee from V4 to V6 was also $20. My bad...

Update: Just tried the upgrade thing within V6 again, and this time it popped up with a note that I was eligible for a free update. I entered my email addy and will wait up to a week for the new code. Many thanks for this Cocoatech, I'm a very happy customer again!

BTW it also seems to still be offering the early bird discount upgrade offer of $15, so grab it while it's still there if you're thinking of upgrading.

I'm running Lion fine so far with 2011.4.2. Can someone please tell me why I should upgrade to 2012.3.1?

Need to have fortnightly buckets, not monthly. Apparently this is coming in the next version, but they won't say when the next version is coming. So unfortunately not useful for me as it stands now, as their workaround is not what I'm after. Otherwise seems a reasonable app.

NetBeans IDE 7.0.1 is now out. This page should be updated.
