So I was about to jump on this thinking $30 for scanning software is extremely high but I could use this, and $50 Is just crazy. Then I saw that they have a pro pack for $100!
So basically this is not a complete program till you opt for the $100 FOR A SCANNING PROGRAM! $100!!!. You know what costs $100 and probably worth it? Adobe Lightroom 4. You see the deference in value for programs here? Please don't even bother teling me how it's more then just a scanning software, or that I most people dont need the complete version. You can also buy 3 canon printer/scanners for $100 right now on amazon, and that's hardware, shipped from another country with packaging and designing and manuals and ink and, and, and etc!! So I dont, want to hear the argument about how your programers need to get paid for their work.
All the mac app developers need to take a chill pill and calm down a bit because this pricing is getting out of hand and quite frankly not nearly worth the cost. Not to mention that every time apple sneezes un update, all the apps want you to upgrade at a cost. I realize that recent fanboy and popularity of apple lately, but have a realistic outlook because I have a feeling that you will all go down like the dot com boom. What do you think makes more money? If you sell 1 complete edition at $100 you would most likely sell 50 at $20 or even more. This has been proven over and over again, basic economics.
Needless to say I will not buy this program, because you are too greedy. Anyway had my say good luck with all that.

OK sure but why not make it more affordable, and just make one version. I'm sure more people would love to own this. How do you you guys approach this when you get together and decide on the price and such, I just want to know the logic behind it. Is $50 and $100 reasonable to you? Keep in ming that my rant was about all the apps and developers and not just your program. I was just shocked that you had a $50 jump for a pro version.

I saw that there is a 59% off to bring it to 59.99 today for new license.
But I wanted to know if it would be posible to get our hands an discounter rate upgrade edition? LIke a 59% off upgrade price.
I like the program but I don't want to buy a whole new licence again especially since he people who have the option to upgrade have been a suporter from the start.
It would go a long way in suport for long time users and not to mention customer loyalty.

I had emptied the trash by accident, and needed to find a way to get it back. Did a google search for (Recover deleted files mac) and found this program at the top. Now Iv'e been a mac user for 20 years now and I kinda struck me that this program is so highly praised and I never heard of it. Installed it and recovered my files flawlessly. Decided to buy it, the site is very confusing and i'm not clear on what I am buying a yearly license and lifetime? Called the number provided up and was told it's lifetime. Ok Sweet i'll buy for 3 computers, but before I buy a mac program I alway s check with MacUpdate for reviews. All negative! Lot's of name calling and back and forth, also read that you buy a yearly license not lifetime, now I'm completely confused. I like the program for what it did user interface looks clean and intuitive. So what is it? Should I get this thing or what?
Also I use little snitch (Best Program in the world) and I don't let programs talk to the web, does this thing need to call home all the time? Is it a lifetime license? Any information is greatly appreciated.
