It sure would be nice if they fixed the in-App 'Update' feature, which consistently tells me Cookie is up to date while it is actually a version behind.

Just received an email from Koingo offering their apps for $2.99 (limited-time introductory offer). Based upon my prior experiences with that company, I have to ask, "What is the 'catch'?"

Just got an email from Koingo. They are dropping support for anything below 10.7, and this is one of the Apps scheduled to be sold in their 'reorganization'.

They cannot even fix the in-app 'Upgrade' feature. Sad.

If MacUpdate is going to post redline warnings about certain companies, how about being consistent? Post one for MacKeeper.

Thanks, Pcbogert and slewfoot. I did just that and everything's fine now. Other than this little problem, XtraFinder gets five stars from me.

What is the difference between a copy purchased directly from the Developer and one from the App Store---other than not having to deal with the App Store?

I would give this app a NEGATIVE star rating if I could. Removed this abortion from my system a while ago, but reinstalled to give it another chance. It still changes my preference settings behind my back. This is especially troubling when I set it to 'block all sites from using my camera or microphone', only to find that, a day later, the setting has returned to Adobe's presets. Who owns this company, the NSA? Bad Adobe! Bad! Bad!

The speed with which the developer responds is most gratifying (especially considering that this is a free app), and the problem with the 'Preferences' crash is fixed. Well done! Thank you!!!
I have been using this app since it first appeared here on MU. Aside from a few minor glitches (which the developer fixed almost as fast as they were discovered) I am very satisfied with it overall. Having dual, vertical or horizontal Finder windows available at a click is a feature I use numerous times per day. The three pages of choices in 'Preferences' allow for lots of personal customization. The tabs are something Apple should have provided from the beginning. Simple to use, also.
Five stars across the board. Further, I will have no problem paying for this when the time comes.
