I wrote a pretty comprehensive review, but it has vanished altogether, and I didn't make a backupo copy (of course).
Because there are serious issues , at least for me, that I really need to see resolved before I can use it further, I have to try writing it all over again.
Before I go any further, I bought the app for 20$ last week.. I don't know why it's listed for $16..
I really didn't even have to do it immediately, anyways.. the demo was extremely generous.
All the themes were available, and once installed, would, I assume, stay installed forever, irrespective of whether the demo had expired or not . I would have been stuck with that theme until I'd bought it, so if you're not going to buy it within 2 weeks, pick a theme you can live with for a while. ;-)
First.. the good.
This app is as good as Shapeshifter ever was, at least potential wise. If any confirmation were needed, it's that the same successful themes from earlier versions of Mac OS keep popping up, by, I would assume, the same creators. I've made a few myself that that the webmaster of "Michaels Mac" considered first class, so I know that one wouldn't go to the effort of reissuing a good theme on anything but a first class theming app..
Unfortunately, I can't for the life of me figure how to creAte themes on it. With no help file whatsoever, it really sucks.
Why no help file? Directions like "add topping" or "Strawberrying", Waffle coneing" or "tasteful, creamy" tell me not a dam thing..
Frankly, I want to know how to modify the drop down menus to increase transparency, seeing as this app has now cracked that nut...
Same with fonts. Black fonts on black toolbars or buttons is entirely unhelpful, but I could find nothing to tell me how to alter that. Certainly a help file with more than a circle drawn around a button would go a long way to improve matters.
Lastly, sometimes, the theme simply doesn't load on boot. And also, when opening up the "favorites" I have selected, gives me a blank screen and the app freezes.
I'd love to give it 5 stars all around, as it is the best thing since shapeshifter, but the lack of a help file for doing mods throws it off. And dont tell me that "well, the other creators had no problems" because I assume they, in fact, did, and simply because it's possible is no excuse to make it difficult. Often the most legitimately creative artists are NOT good at deceiphering bizarre puzzles, which is what this amounts to...
Plus the mentioned bugs.
Still the best thing currently out there, (except for crystal clear/black, which is NOT 10.9 compatible
I hope to eventually be able to give it 25 stars...)
[Version 1.1.4]

I'd like to add that I'm running Flavours dark themes (currently Hi-Tech) on top of "Crystal Black", and it does help with some of the dark fonts, especially on the titlebar, and the system menus that don't otherwise get themed.
Recommended.. especially the "Hi-Tech", as I'm the one who wrote the Panther OSX shapeshifter port of Hi-Tech, so I'm a special fan of this theme...

The thing that really got me, once I figured out how to apply a theme, was how to fine tune (or "tweak" it). OK I still haven't figured that one out. Sure don't want to do that and "break" something. !
