Great minimalistic email app. Slick, fast and responsive. My only problem is the nonexistent customer support. I purchased the licensed version of Sparrow. I had to reinstall OS X recently, and I attempted to redownload the license to activate Sparrow. However, I am taken to a page where it says that my license is unavailable. I sent an email four days ago regarding the issue. I have yet to receive and response or acknowledgement of my problem. The automated response from them says that they are currently responding to emails within an average of 12 hours. Well, that is just a lie. Obviously, it has been well beyond a mere 12 hours. But it doesn't seem that they have noticed that.

The new 1.6 update makes responding to new messages so much easier! The app is a little bit pricey for a free service but the easy accessibility it offers is worth it.

The new 1.6 update brought a new bug. The inbox does not load at all when the app is launched. I have to log out and log in in order to for the inbox to show. I have to repeat this every time GrowlVoice is launched!

I just spent a whole entire day looking for a capable media player to smoothly play a anime series in 1080p MKV with FLAC 5.1 audio.
First I tried VLC 1.1.3 , the performance was relatively smooth, only after numerous tweaking in the settings. One major problem however is that scrubbing through the video artifacts would appear for a couple of seconds when the video is playing. The primary reason I ditched VLC was random artifacts showing up throughout the video, which did not show up when I played the video in other media players.
Second I tried XBMC 10.0 beta 4. While it could handle FLAC 5.1, the performance was horrible, the player basically choked when playing the video.
Third I tried Plex A slick UI like XBMC but it simply could not play FLAC 5.1 audio properly.
Fourth was MPlayer OSX Extended rev14 test2. Could not handle FLAC 5.1 out of the box. I had to add a command line in the advanced settings in order for Extended to play the audio correctly. Performance and scrubbing was smooth. Almost became my primary media player but I ended up ditching this player because of its instability. When I would watch a video in fullscreen and switch to a different space, the playback control bar would appear randomly in the other spaces. Very irritating problem.
Fifth was Movist. Simply could not handle FLAC 5.1 audio. Also would not prevent the power options and screen saver from activating when a video is playing.
Coincidently, the best for last! The last media player I tried was MPlayer X. Handles 1080p MKV and FLAC 5.1 smoothly without any problems whatsoever. Scrubbing works great. The interface, resembling Quicktime X, is slick and refreshing, unlike the outdated GUI of the some of the other media players I had mentioned above. One small problem so far is switching to and from fullscreen would cause the window to flicker. So far that is the only problem I could find! Otherwise MPlayerX is perfection! The media player I have been looking for ever since I got my Unibody Macbook last spring.
