The TV Guide deal and lack of PPC support for iPhone/iPod touch live streaming leads me to give this one star. Harsh, maybe, but when I can transcode videos using Air Video ( on the same machine without any problems, then there is no excuse. I'm glad I at least only had to buy the software, as the hardware portion of their products are horribly over-priced, and can be purchased with the "eyeTV" branding for much cheaper.

The interface kinda stinks too.

to clarify, I meant that the same hardware can be bought for much cheaper when it's not under the "eyeTV" brand.

The reported updates on both macupdate and versiontracker say 2.2.3. The download link on the website gives you 2.2.1. The alternative download link (megaupload) and the version mentioned on the site now say 2.2.4. wat.

Use MacFUSE instead. Not only does it actually work in 10.6, but it's free too.

Glad to see MenuMeters back with a 10.6 release! Thank you so much to the developers of this.

softsubs on my ipod touch? yes please. This also cuts down on the conversion time for video since I don't have to burn the subs into the video track via QT and Perian (Perian allows QT to see subs, then QT does the actual conversion. QT is very slow at MP4/h.264 encoding). Now I just use iSquint or HandBreak then Subler to mux the srt file.

Looking for a Mac converter for .a s s (macupdate word filter won't let me say the file extension without spaces) to .srt, however. Please reply if you know of one.

I applied the update and it seems fine for the most part, but now the hard drive making a new sound. It goes "hurt them..... hurt them..... make them pay..." Weird, right?
