Question: Doesn't Logic already have an autosave feature?

Attention: current version (1.0.22) crashes during launch in 10.6.8, even though info.plist says minimum system version is 10.6.

Dev says on his webzone that he's working on a successor called MotiOnline. So does that mean that YouView will be discontinued eventually? What would be the use of donating for full features if the app will be abandoned in the near future?

Easiest and most elegant player out there. Even though it has less functionality, I prefer it over VLC, which I had used for years. The only thing that's missing for me is the crop function. In VLC I can crop e.g. the 4:3 aspect ratio of older TV series to 16:10 and switch to full screen without any letterbox. If MPlayerX had this function, I would be delighted. Otherwise: simply a great player.

Great little app. Luckily I haven't had any problems with my disks. ;) SMARTReporter immediately gave out a warning when the available disk space was getting critical. Never crashed once.

PS: If your external hardware is SAT-capable, the 3rd party SATSMART driver should make SMARTReporter also work with these external drives. See here: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/47045/s.m.a.r.t.-for-usb-and-firewire-drives

Messed up Safari 5.1.8 in MacOS 10.6.8. Took me half an hour to find out that SafariStand 5.1.182 with SIMBL for 10.6 was creating the compatibility problem. Otherwise everything seems to work fine.

Not working anymore, because whatismyip.com have changed their policy. See here: http://automation.whatismyip.com/n09230945.asp … and here: http://www.whatismyip.com/membership-options/ … free users will now be restricted to 5 IP lookups per 24 hours, which renders the app useless. For the time being users could hack the IPSentinelStatus code to use checkip at dyndns instead, but they don't give you the DNS name, and their html code isn't compatible with the way IP info is displayed in the IPSentinelStatus menu. Definitely needs an update.

Furthermore, email notification is buggy, the app always loses the mail account password.

A better alternative to dyndns is http://whatismyip.akamai.com/ … still no DNS name, but at least no html bugs with that IP lookup address.

But IPSentinelStatus still loses the email account password for some reason. (Logging to Console works fine, though.)

NOTE: until there is an update, you will have to manually hack the code with an app like HexEdit or Resorcerer:

Quit IPSentinelStatus, make a backup copy, open the original's binary in /Applications/IPSentinelStatus/Contents/MacOS/ with the editor of your choice, search for "http://automation.whatismyip.com/n09230945.asp" in the code (without the " " of course), you should find four instances, replace it with the akamai IP lookup URL, plus some random numbers or letters, e.g. "http://whatismyip.akamai.com/0000000n092309450" (without the " " of course"), save, and you're good to go: launch IPSentinelStatus again… worked for me. The additional numbers after the / in the new URL are necessary to have a URL with the same length as the original, so the code isn't messed up.

Trying to update from 3.0.4 to 3.0.5, but the app tells me that there was an unpacking error. Tried to download the esellerate version manually, but it's still at 3.0.4. Any place to get the full 3.0.5 updater for clients with volume licenses?

Oh, I missed something. It's only the wrong link on the CoreCode website. I used this one – http://www.corecode.at/downloads/smartreporter_full_3.0.5.zip – and it worked.

Love this beautiful little helper app. Can't live without it anymore. I encountered a small glitch from time to time, the occasional "daylight flash" here and there, but that doesn't really bother me. A couple of more features would be great. I would welcome a longer transition time that actually follows the sun, starting e.g. 30 minutes before sundown, and ending roughly at twilight's end. Also I would like to be able to have more options with regard to disabling the effect, e.g. for 1 1/2 or 2 hours, if you're watching a movie, or with some manual entry option. But that's all really secondary.

Useless for people administering several FB accounts & pages with one or more browsers (or using a secondary browser for their FB profile for privacy reasons). I use Safari, Firefox, Camino, Opera and RockMelt for different clients' FB accounts. Facebox uses your main browser's FB cookie, and there's no preference item to change that or select accounts. So if you log into FB with a secondary browser or more than one browser, this menu app is not for you. Of course you can always log in, out, in, out, in manually all the time, but that's not really cool, and Facebox will always mess with your main browser's FB cookies then. If you want your main browser to stay FB-cookie-free, don't use Facebox either.

All in all I'm quite content with Sophos (10.6.8, Macbook Pro). Just one thing keeps annoying me. Is there *any* way to avoid the program's "intercheck" background routine. It's a total drain on CPU resources, howling fans and everything. (It's really annoying.)

Great idea until Lion comes out. Sadly I can't use it. It messes up SmartScroll.
