Lots of people have had the same issues I had. They were not limited to Spotlight and my hardware was a brand new Retina MacBook Pro. With AppleCare, which I would have used had I any other "hardware issues." One need not look far to find others with exactly the symptoms I reported, including the FUSE forums. I think it's curious that the last reply to my review came just days after I asked the FUSE team to cease emailing me with very personal responses. If the developer really wants to be treated like professionals they should learn to act like one.

In my experiment it felt rather like a toddler was in charge of my fonts. A sleepy, slightly psychotic toddler who treated my assets like letter-blocks, constantly scrambling them in illogical combinations before grasping them tight, refusing to let me have the one I wanted. I'm at a loss to know what to use instead, as my fonts are numerous. This may be the best font manager available right now, but that's not saying much. Granted that I may have had an unidentified bug in my system, so if you feel you must give this a try I suggest doing so with a limited number of fonts first.

Terrible, horrible even—for me—malware. Before you install do a search for "how to uninstall OSXFUSE." And also MacFuse. Like others I had HD-destroying, months long kernel panics before I realized it was this, and I'm still suffering because the "developer" won't help. You can delete it via the PrefPanel but parts remain, doing who-knows-what because they remain active. Just check Activity monitor for what the "MDS" panic means. I fell for these reviews and hope others won't make the same mistake.

Did not work on my Lion system with iPhoto 9.3.2. Left many duplicates (never edited and with the exact same name) while it made thousands of duplicates disappear forever. The developer claims this is impossible, that I should see them in the trash but I definitely do not. Photos deleted with the manual option are in the Trash, but all the others I pressed the automatic button on are gone. Now I have to figure out whether I've lost last copies, through careful comparison with my backup on another computer. I've erred twice in trying this app but won't again.

Wonderful, just wonderful. And the only game in town for converting TiVo shows for use on other devices

Quick Note has stopped launching. Is there any way to recover the extensive notes I made for a research project?

FontXChange is much better, in my view.
