Tried this browser out and was pleasantly surprised. The GUI is really nice, it's slick and it works well in 10.8.2. I like the idea of tags and will stay with it and see how it progresses.

It was Version 3.8.5 that didn't load, the updated version of does load but nothing happens, it just freezes. Not very much of the browser works at all including most of Javascript. This was an enjoyable browser but is now looking a waste of time. Will start to look elsewhere, far too unreliable.

This version will not load at all it is crashing every time. Disappointing as it is normally quite a reliable browser. Needs sorting!

This one will surprise a lot of people. Very promising browser and so different and innovative. Easy to read clean lists for favourites, bookmarks and history and overall a great browsing experience. It was time for something different and Raven supplies it. Although still in beta it is being regularly updated. Worth a look, at least.

This browser just keeps getting better and faster. iCab is one of the best if not THE best browser for OSX.

I thought this application was dead and buried and am really surprised an update has appeared. I used Outspring up to version 1.1.2 and had quite a few problems en route ending with a few crashes, the final one of which made me decide to drop the application as it had become so unreliable. After checking the website it looked as if the developer was no longer supporting it, which was unfortunate as it had so much promise, end of story. Then 1.1.3 appears out of the blue and the crashes I was experiencing have been fixed. I have started using it again and live in hope and although there have been a few negative responses it still has the makings of a good email client although rather a little expensive. As for the developer, well it remains a bit of a mystery. Perhaps a reply in these columns would be welcome?

Over the past few years I have attempted to download and use Shiira every time a new version appears, why? Today version 2.3 appears and again I decide to give it another shot. I like the interface and it has always looked a promising browser so I gave it another try. Again why? It just doesn't work and has always had so many problems, in 2.3 the preferences do not open and without them it is a waste of time even attempting to use this browser. The Shiira home page is so confusing and now asks you to log on to some obscure website, why do we bother? Shiira would have a strong following if only they got their act together but they never seem to be able to. Time to give up, I think so!
