I showed my boss the new FileMaker app I had created for the lab, and he said: "Could you add this info?" which was right there in front of him - that's when I realized he is red/green blind and simply couldn't see the writing. I found Sim Daltonism and since then haven't created an app, a web page, or a presentation without first checking it with Sim Daltonism. Essential app in my opinion.

Another update??? I just installed one two days ago! How many bugs are there???

It seems I have to restart Safari every two days because Flash needs another update. I have removed it from all my other Macs and am much happier for it - I'm looking forward to the day when all the websites I visit have ditched this bug-ridden atrocity!

I too own LittleSnapper and am incensed at them basically releasing a new version (same tool after all, even if they would have rewritten it from scratch) under a new name without an upgrade path. As I also own Voila (got it in a bundle) I have now switched - not because of any features but simply because I don't want to support a company with such lousy customer support.

The true measure of how useful something is can be seen when you have to use a computer which doesn't have it. I remember when Apple introduced scrolling on the trackpad with two fingers - all of a sudden I even did it on laptops which didn't have it, and hated that I had to use a different way of doing it.

ALFRED is exactly the same - it lingered on my MBP for a while, being used from time to time, but it just became more and more often as I gradually got used to using it. And now I hate sitting at a computer which doesn't have it, and if I can, just install it.

Buy the PowerPack even if you don't need it, just to show your appreciation and support to the developer!

I experience frequent "no signal" messages when changing channels - there is nothing wrong with the signal, and restarting EyeTV helps for a while but this also means that recording TV from different channels often leaves me with failed 0 sec recordings. However it is still the best game in town.

Tip (for Germany and maybe other countries): if you don't want to pay for the tvtv programming guide then set the channels to use DVB (the signal contains a programming guide). You need to go to the channels section and set it for each channel.

App is great but: Please give us back the old icon. It was really nice. The new one looks like a beamer! Horrible.

I bought Delicious Library 2 some time ago but never got round to catalogue all my stuff beyond a quick try-out. Today I finally started. As I need to make some space I made shelfs like "Books" and "Books for Sale". Cataloguing was easy but unfortunately after a few hours I noticed that I can't drag and drop a book from one shelf to another when I decide to sell or keep it after all! Shelfs are basically just lists, the equivalent of playlists in iTunes or albums in iPhoto, so are a very simple feature indeed. That you can't drag&drop an item from one shelf to another is such an unbelievable omission ...

I don't know if you can drag&drop between shelfs in version 3 but I can't upgrade to version 3 anyway as I'm still on Snow Leo (and I don't like Lion / ML ... and yes, I have it on one of my Macs and simply hate that grey in grey appearance).

I've just figured it out. You have to drag the ICON, you can't drag the row.

Boggles the mind. It is non-intuitive and very much against any user guidelines I've ever read. It is easy to program this properly. Please change this behaviour.

I'm running 10.6.8 on my MBP. Just installed Cobook. It shows only one address entry (Apple). I wonder how do I import my addresses ... then I open Addressbook to discover that all my addresses are gone!

I hope I can fix this with my time machine backup at home, but this is completely unacceptable.!

Restarted into my Mountain Lion partition, started AddressBook, synced with the cloud, and my addresses are back, even after restarting in Snow Leo.

Has anyone else seen something like this?

If the data is still there then it should have shown when I restarted in ML - but it did not. There didn't seem to be any data locally - I had to sync with iCloud to get the adresses back.

I am getting somewhat annoyed. For the umpteenth time AppShelf is loosing most of the app icons and either just shows a generic icon or the wrong icon (this time it's RapidWeaver icons). I'm seriously considering writing my own replacement.

User-friendliness could be better. You can make category folders (e.g. Adobe apps), but you can't drag&drop an entry on the new folder - you have to create the entry from scratch. You can't duplicate an entry to make repeat entries easier (e.g. you got 12 apps from AppBuzzer but they don't provide an AppShelf file). You can't have a template for multiple entries.

It's a nice start, but data corruption and missing features mean I can only give 2.5 stars.

10.7 Lion as minimum system? Sorry, that is ridiculous - I have a good mind to write such a simple app myself without such silly system requirements ...

Updated to 10.5.3. Now dragging epub directly to my iPad in iTunes crashes the app. Dragging the epub into iTunes first, then from there onto the iPad works.

To all EyeTV Hybrid users:

There is a widespread problem with the device being only recognized as being on a USB1 port or not at all - the bizarre solution is to heat up the EyeTV Hybrid for 2 min and then plug it in (don't make it too hot or the plastic will melt). See http://forums.elgato.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=527&start=25 for details

I was ready to throw mine away - now it's working again.

It says:

"Preferences

To access the preferences, please click on the i-Button in the top right corner of this window."

But there is no i being displayed there on my Mac like it is in the screenshot - so no way for me to enter my registration number (I got it as part of a bundle)

HELP! Each time I start AppShelf it again imports my 18 MacHeist serials - and deleting them one by one is a pain!

I'm. So. Dumb.

Mistook the appshelf file for the app.

Thanks for the quick response from the developer.

If you have SIMBL installed then Safari 4.0 will not start

If you have SafariBlock installed and enabled then it will block all sites (not sure why)

Well, removing the SIMBL folder makes Safari start, putting it back leads to a crash on start up. As others have SIMBL running fine it might be an incompatibility with the only other plugin I have (veetle) as I disabled all other SIMBL plugins.

SafariBlock seems to work now after I disabled "check for update on start-up"
