I can't find any reviews, demos, or information on Candy Apple at 128bit/MacAppware's site! Only on the App Store is there some screen shots. With all the features listed, I would like to try it out or at least read a review from someone who has used it before paying $30.

OK, I understand. If you need a demo tester, I'd be glad to help. Expert in FreeHand, Illustrator, and other vector apps. —Mark

I've been using this for over a year and Pester has become indispensable. What I needed was a reminder app to alert me to bill paying, picking up my son at school, appointments, projects due, kitchen food, ebay bids, ... whatever I need to remember. So while I guess this could be considered an alarm clock, it is more about creating both one-time and repeating Reminders.

I tend to set the alerts to overkill by bouncing the Dock icon, displaying a message, playing a tune, and speaking the alert message. Because I'm not a clock watcher and I get distracted by my work projects, this gets my attention. Plus I can click a snooze feature to re-remind me of the alert if I'm not ready to deal with it yet.

Lastly, I can save all my reminder messages in a list to choose again later, as well as delete my "one-time" reminders. Pester's interface is flat and ordinary—which would be nice to see improved—but it sure gets the job done.

The update for 1.03 isn't showing on MacUpdate. I found it on the developers site and it fixes a few bugs I noticed in 1.02:

• Checksum and calm zone calculation for UPC E barcode fixed.
• PZN barcode enhanced to PZN8 (7 code digits + 1 checksum character, valid as of 2013-01-01).
• When vector-based formats (PDF, EPS) have been chosen for export, the resolution and colorspace popups are hidden to avoid irritations about these parameters.
• Japanese localization added.

GOT 'NO TAG' ERRORS - WHAT'S UP?
This is the overall problem I am reading in others comments. I am using the demo mode and in the 10 song limit I found this to be true as well. I went to the website to see what's up before I buy this app and the problem is addressed clearly. Here's the answer/explanation:

iVolume is adjusting the tag named 'iTunNORM' that is embedded by iTunes directly into the tracks when 'Sound Check' is turned on. If the 'iTunNORM' tag is missing in a song, iVolume can't adjust that song. The result is a 'No Tag' error. If you get 'No Tag' errors in iVolume, first make sure that 'Sound Check' is turned on in 'iTunes > Preferences… > Playback'.

Sometimes you may still get 'No Tag' errors for many tracks. Especially older iTunes versions tend to store the 'iTunNORM' tag in its internal database instead of inside the track files.

In this case you can force iTunes to put the missing 'iTunNORM' tags into the songs by performing the following instructions:
http://www.mani.de/en/software/macosx/ivolume/faq.html#tag
