Silverlight works fine on my MBP (early 2011) with OS X 10.8.5. I use it frequently as I am a Netflix subscriber. Never had an issue with it, although it does make my fans accelerate.

Should say that I'm using Safari version 6.1.3 (8537.75.14)

Tried OS X 10.9 but did not like it for various reasons not the least being that it ate much more RAM than 10.8.5. I jumped back to 10.8.5. I have a MBP (early 2011) with only 4 GB RAM and here in Mazatlan, Mexico it is impossible to find RAM. And here comes OS X 10.10, when I wish I was still running 10.7.5.

I thought this would be something that runs in the background, seems like that would be logical for something like this. I thought wrong. At this early juncture, not sure if I like this app or not.

I like Tor Browser Bundle because it is so accessible, easy to use. I was browsing around with TBB just now and thought I'd access my Yahoo mail. I got an email immediately from Yahoo security, saying that my account had been accessed "from an unknown device" somewhere in France. Funny. I'm definitely not in France.

Works well on my MBP (Safari 6.1.2, OS X 10.8.5) and I use it along with Incognito and Autodistract and MacScan to keep my Safari cookies clean and slimmed down. All these to insure a bit of privacy… Those tracker-cookie folks are very clever.

This works well on my MBP (Safari 6.1.2, OS X 10.8.5) and I second the recommendation of Ghostery. If you want to dig out the junk in your Safari cookies file, try Autodistract.

Worked very well for me (Safari 6.1.2, OS X 10.8.5, MBP), it cleaned up my cookies nicely, went from about 30,000 cookies down to about 7,500. And it did not eat any cookies that are good for me. I'm impressed. And along with my arsenal of Incognito, Ghostery, and MacScan, Safari is clean. No tracking cookies, and no unnecessary cookies thanks to Autodistract.

How nice of the developers to include the correct version number in the info.plist, thanks!

Twice I've tried this app on my MBP running 10.7.3. When launched all that happens is (OFF) appears in my menubar. Don't know what is up with that.

Ever since I installed iWOW (version 1.1.6 and now version 1.1.8), which I do enjoy using, iTunes (version 7.1, and now 7.1.1) has had an obscene memory leak. I tested it a few times by doing all the usual maintenance routines and restarting my Mac and then launching iTunes and not using it at all for many many hours. iTunes would eventually bloat up to using 200+ MB of RAM, after never even being used. I have plenty of RAM (2 GB) but even so, that is crazy, or so it seems to me.

Anyone else seeing this sort of thing?

By the way, I did report this to the developer in great detail. Got an email from them stating someone would get back to me soon. That was maybe a week or more ago and they've not gotten back to me on this. I'm sure they're busy, but...

Apple Support docs address some iTunes 7 bugs.
