I love the concept, but it keeps crashing on me. I re-open it, and it wants me to log in again. Doesn't seem quite ready.

I should note that the App Store version is working fine. And I like the program quite a bit! I didn't realize there was that version available at the time I wrote the previous comment.

I was quite willing to buy this. But it's no longer on the MAS, and when I tried to purchase it from the developer's site, nothing happened when I clicked the button to submit my order. And I can find no way to e-mail the developer. Lost sale. Bummer.

I've only tinkered with this for a few minutes, and already I'm certain to make a purchase next payday! The other programs I've looked into either require an up front purchase from the MAS (with no demo) or are well beyond my price range.

The fact that this author provides a demo (with restrictions on the image, understandably) went a long way toward enabling me to determine who is going to get my money! Thanks, developer!

I must sing the praises of this program and especially of this developer! As others have already noted, the program is richly featured and has an interface that many of us find very helpful. It is certainly well thought out.

But beyond that, this developer has really gone out of his way to be helpful. I haven't even purchased the program yet (waiting until payday), but he took time to make a video for me to illustrate how to create a particular effect I needed.

I will contrast this with another, popular vector program whose developer has never written back when I made a similar request. Sketch might be a bit more pricey than some of the competition, but you will get your money's worth.

I've used Macs since 1987, so I feel qualified to say that I've interacted with my share of developers over the years. Sketch's develper is very much in the top 1% of those make these purchases a worthwhile venture.

I'm just going to reiterate that this developer took my money and NEVER EVER sent me a license or responded to any of my e-mail inquiries about that matter. DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON ONE CENT OF YOUR MONEY, EVER! BetterTouchTool is free and gives you more options anyway. Period.

Hmm. I just ran across a program in the Mac App Store called "Brightness +" which is very obviously Nocturne. I decided to gamble 99 cents and see what it does. In general, it works fine. But you cannot invert the menu bar. Nothing happens. It will, however, dim the menu bar if you wish.

Not to be confused with the iTunes controller of the same name, that's been around for years and years?

Doesn't anyone do research anymore?

I've not had any problems with it. And the developer has been very responsive to my requests. Plus it's free, although donations are nice. I'm not sure what problems people are having, such that it doesn't work for them. But I'm sure that if you contact the developer, you can get it worked out.

I disagree with the dumb/useless comments. This program allows me to aim my cursor anywhere in the menu bar and scroll to adjust system volume. In contrast, the traditional way is to move the cursor to one precise spot and do this. Sounds trivial, perhaps, but I have carpal tunnel, and having to constantly do a number of fine-tuned cursor moves (for any number of menubar programs) adds up in the course of a day. This program is one less such trip and helps.

Let me double-click to paste, and it's a sale.
