Version 1.0 doesn't properly install on my 2009 MBP with Mavericks on it. Either the installation fails or launching it crashes the System Preferences app. I've emailed the author and will reply to this thread once I get the reply.

The author has replied in a matter of mere minutes and is troubleshooting it now.
He already fixed one of the problems (that it failed in installing for all users), yay!
It might be my system only, so please do install it and share your results.

The author has fixed the bugs during the weekend and it now works as advertised :) Yay!
But I encountered a small bug: the client name field didn't get updated on modification and I had to manually edit the plist and reboot.
I reported the problem and believe the author will fix it soon.
Happy SynergyKM'ing all!

Sorry for spamming the board, but the version here might have not been updated just yet. If so, please visit the author's site and download it there.

First, thank you for a great little utility. I'm a switcher myself and have long been waiting for a utility like this.
As I've just downloaded it, I can't comment on its quality yet but have a small feature request.
Could you make it so that it deselects the menu upon pressing the alt/option key when the menu is already selected, just as in Windows?
Thanks.

Seems like this app, at least in its current form (0.9b2), doesn't support Active Directory as its image source. Here's the relevant info from its 'Beta Testing Notes':

[quote]
Address Book Pictures is (as it's name states) an application to add images to your Address Book. The current version of Address Book Pictures only uses LDAP servers as a source of images.

@Josh: Thanks for the clarification. Now I'm embarrassed for my ignorance :)

Hey, its price reads Free($39.95). What's that?

Just FYI, the app itself is free, but it seems to REQUIRE a paid monthly subscription of some sort to actually use it. (I myself deleted it as soon as I saw that subscription request. :)

The support is very unresponsive.

I recently bought a copy and had a problem so I tried to contact them but they don't even list their support email address at their corporate website! Or at least they don't advertise it well, as I couldn't find it there.

So I contacted them via their web support form but am yet to receive any replies from them after more than a week.

The NTFS driver itself seems to work well; my problem was that it didn't work at all with anything other than the Finder. It seems that it was because the volume name of the NTFS partition was not in plain ASCII (mine was in Korean.) After I renamed it in English, everything seems to work fine.

I should revise my review. A few days after I wrote the above review, they contacted me and they do seem to have a proper support process, but seem to have been very busy rolling out the new release (9.0).
So please disregard the 'unresponsive' part above.
