I currently have the following iTunes cleaning and organizing software for acquiring music metadata and other pertinent informations for music:

Song Kong
Leawo Tunes Cleaner

I listed the programs by better to worse. Song Kong only got a 4.5 stars because the instructions need to be clearer especially in making choices under the "Monitor Watch Folder". It needs to be clarified as to what effect "File Naming" and "Format" options does to affect metadata. In my case I liked the old way the I could list my music by artist first, then by album. The options to do this within iTunes 11 may be part of the cause my album listing is hit or miss. But this is a minor detail.

Also it would be nice to really under stand the purpose of the "Move Folder" function. It needs to be more clear as to why you need the move folder function to be activated.

Other than that, Song Kong is by far the absolute king of software for finding missing data for all my music. The issues I referred to may be my misunderstanding.

When I use the other programs, especially TuneUp, the list is a mess. ands Leawo Tunes Cleaner is better than Tuneup but not nearly as good as Song Kong.

I have never seen with the other programs a flag (a small caps i inside a circle ) next to the song name and the song number, that designates a missing song. I'm not sure if Song Kong is the cause for this or not. But it is a neat feature that asks you if you want to find the missing song. Once you accept, you install the proper CD or as in my case, I have a File on several drives that is a copy of every album and CD. You point the program to the missing songs, Voila, the program retrieves the missing song and filles in other missing songs on the same CD. I have never seen this before I started using Song Kong.

Song Kong isn't perfect, yet !, but issues remaining after the program has run is very minor compared with remaining effects of the other programs. Sorting out the minor issues after using Song Kong is far less time consuming problematic than with the other programs.
