I tried this software and I have to say I liked it very much. But (unless the developer has added something to it that wasn't in the version I tried) it seems far too expensive for the amount of use I would get from it.

When upgrading my old G5 to an Intel Mac allowed me to upgrade this program I was really taken with the way it looked. It was so nice for all my accounts to be in the one window instead of five different files. Since I've been away from home (with access to only a Windows machine) I had plenty of work to do on My Checkbook updating all my accounts and found it much nicer than the old version. It's always been stable and the new version seems just as stable. Thanks for all the improvements. :-)

What a bummer that it won't work on PPC. Yes, I'm afraid I do still expect my G5 to be catered for.

It's a great application. But try the price from where I'm sitting--nearly a fifth of my personal after-tax weekly income.

I have done only one search (one I did a few days ago using a previous version) and it seemed a little faster on my G5 1.8. It certainly worked very well anyway. I'm one happy chappy and I might give it to my husband to try on his Intel Mac. :-) I do have one suggestion. I would have liked to choose a range of dates for the file I was seeking. That would have made the search quicker for my 6-year-old machine. Many thanks, Devon Technologies.

KM seems to be getting rather expensive. If memory serves me right, I paid about $20 for the first version I bought, but it's going to cost me $25 just to upgrade. I'm going to have to give it a miss.

Thanks for fixing the problem I had with my hotkeys not working in version 4.1. And thanks for doing it so quickly! :-)

I've always liked Keyboard Maestro. When looking for software that would allow me to use keyboard shortcuts (in the manner of Now/Action Utilities) it was the best of the ones I found. I do prefer how Now/Action Utilities allowed me to create shortcuts right within applications, though (you just selected the item on the drop-down menu that didn't have its own shortcut and typed the one you wanted). However, I'm having problems with 4.1 (my shortcuts to open or switch to another application, such as control-P for Photoshop) stopped working. So I went back to 4.0.2 and the problem was instantly fixed. I use a G5 1.8 tower. I'll continue using 4.0.2 until another update becomes available.

This isn't really a full review because all I wanted was to convert a FLAC file to AIFF, and that's all I've done. I wanted to buy some downloads from Hyperion's catalogue but didn't see the point in buying anything that I can't listen to on an ordinary CD player as well as in iTunes on my G5 or iPod. This software did the job magnificently. Oh, I did look at a few other pieces of software and read other people's opinions and I chose X Lossless Decoder on the basis of what I found. I also liked the fact that my first instinct on opening XLD wasn't "Yuk!" Many thanks.

I agree with ZANGIEF that this is the only piece of software that's supposed to SOLVE Sudoku puzzles and actually does so. I certainly couldn't find any, anyway. I like its nice clean lines too. Others are cluttered up with colours and all sorts of other gimmicks. My only quibble with Sudoku Master is that I'd like the puzzle to be larger. It looks very tiny on my 1680 x 1050 20" Cinema display and I keep wanting to drag the bottom right-hand corner downwards. Maybe a choice of sizes could be provided because I imagine younger eyes than mine would be quite happy with the present size. I also need software that teaches me how to DO Sudoku (and I could hardly expect such software to be free). To my utter humiliation, I find the only puzzles I can solve are rated as extra easy!
