Download is still labeled as the BETA version. This is also true if you download 3.2 directly from the developers site in spite of various notices that this is the final version.

Sorry, the original comment came at initial posting to MacUpdate was intended to be a check point for the developer.

MacBook Pro 2.3GHz i7 w/ 16GB RAM running 10.8.3
Original update was in app and failed to run. Deleted app, all preferences and related files to re-install from fresh download direct from developers site. Same result... app fails to launch.
Same result if installed on a fresh, new user account with nothing other than basic OS running.

Finally had time to trouble shoot a bit and found the problem.

Previous version was installed in a folder WITHIN the Utilities folder (where I normally keep my various network tools).

This version DOES run just fine if installed in Applications or Utilities folders. It DOES NOT run if in a subfolder within the Utilities folder.

THANKS for the quick response and yes, I use SideEffects in OS X 10.8 but your is the first program to not show it's icon. Following a restart it now shows. Does Cocktail do something with icons that other programs do not or was this just a fluke?

Thanks again to a developer that offers a great product and is quick to help!

Really great new feature to use it on the iPhone and have access to your library collection there. Have used this program for several years and it just keeps getting better.

If you are looking for free Bibles and basic search without any effort, then you may well be satisfied with other, "cheaper" programs.

If you are a serious Bible student wanting to do serious Bible study, you won't find a better program. Yes, it takes time to learn, but that's because it is a truly powerful, professional tool. You can learn the basics in just a few minutes and have a useful tool for study and sermon or lesson preparation. Beyond that, you can enjoy researching and learning everything from historical backgrounds to intricate technical word studies.

Over the years I've used most of what's been available, but I have to rate this as the best.

Also, the user forums are extremely helpful for everyone from beginning student to scholar... but they do require that you be a real person and not an anonymous critic. If you are looking to learn, this is the place! And if you need help in purchasing call their toll free (in the USA at least) number or email them. The staff are truly knowledgeable and will take the time to help you get it just right.

The web site still says "All updates are free to all registered users" even as they require all but the most recent users to pay for the upgrade.

Sorry, but this is dishonest!
