I suppose I shouldn't grumble because it's free, but I can't stand that ribbon on the top of each window, wasting almost one quarter of the screen. The main use of a notetaking app is to take notes, formatting isn't very important. It should therefore be out of the way.

It's cluttered.

I like simple.

Excellent update.

Much snappier and the Mail problems are solved.

Not only did it install smoothly and work perfectly afterwards, it enabled DiskUtility to repair a badly corrupted Time Machine backup that I hadn't been able to repair before.

This is a good upgrade.

It's horrible.

The GUI is ghastly.

It's like using Windows.

The GUI is horrible.

The learning curve is steep.

I hate it.

This app has been around for ever and is one thing that has kept me on the Mac. There are several imitations around these days, but Typeit4Me is the best. I made my own shorthand language using this, with abbreviations for common words and phrases, with the result that I can type pretty much as fast as speech - and I'm NOT a good typist.

Riccardo is a great guy and responds to questions and suggestions.

This app makes it so easy to marshall your thoughts and plan out projects, add notes. make corrections, etc. It's superb.

It's fast, stable and does 90% of what I need from a Word Processor.

Excellent app.

Since version 5.1, Word has sucked big time. It's slow, bloated, completely non-intuitive and unnecessarily complicated.

Instead of just adding features, Microsoft should think about what people want to use a word processor for and build their design about that.

This application looks like what it is, an application designed by a committee.
