One year ago I began a three year subscription to Carbonite. Now I have switched to an IMac. It has been so difficult to try to change the carbonate coverage to the Mac that I am abandoning the subscription in disgust. The friendly person at tech support was unable to help.

Addendum: So Mac unfriendly that I could not even access a trial download using Safari.

Tried it. Liked it. Bought it.
I have been using Carbon Copy Cloner for a long time but found their newer menus confusing. All I wanted to do was erase the target drive and clone my boot volume. With CCC it was very difficult to find out how to do this. After reading many pages of technical instructions, I gave up and used Disk Utility to first erase the target. When I opened SuperDuper!, "Erase (Backup) then copy files from (Boot)" was the default option. Perfect! I also like the status window that describes what is happening during the cloning operation. SuperDuper is Super. Joel

This is a great app! Well worth the $13. I have been using OmniDiskSweeper for years, but this is better. It has many more features. Most importantly, the basic features are better too. For example, WhatSize found 1.2 GB of files on my boot drive not shown by ODS. Also, it took ODS 45 seconds to measure by boot drive while WhatSize did it faster than I could look at my watch - less that 2 seconds. Joel

Installed 1.9 on iMac running Lion 10.7.3 & Safari 5.1.3. Safari crashes when I try to open Preferences > Safari Cookies. I even waited 5 minutes, and it still crashed. I went back to 1.8 and it works fine. It seems 1.9 needs a little more work. This is one of my favorite apps, so I'll be looking forward to a fix soon.

All is well after installing v1.9.1. This is the first time I ever got a tech support request answered in less than 3 min. I was so impressed that I donated another $20. I also like the redesigned Preference window.
