I really like the Things UI and bought the full suite (Mac, iPhone and iPad) but dumped it after a month because the syncing is horrible and doesn't work over the Internet.

It's a perfect example for a product where developers rest on their success instead of improving the product.

I've switched to OmniFocus. Even though, it doesn't look that slick it's working perfectly and supports multiple ways of syncing. HitList looks interesting too

I haven't seen it...even if it might be excellent, it comes way too late.... they can't expect customers to wait more than two years for essential features.

...and I read it syncing will be with costs. In OmniFocus there are several ways to do a free sync and it's working excellent too.

I'm using WebDAV syncing with OmniFocus and it works just fine on my three Macs, my iPhone and my iPad. I haven't had any single syncing issues so far.

My main issue with Things is that it took them two years to get a real syncing solution to a closed beta. Sorry, that's just insane. I'm tired of all those workarounds that do not replace a real sync.
