Just did an upgrade to 10.9.0 and promptly installed 6.0.1 of letter opener. Mail keeps on hanging requiring a force quit. Removed the extension and all good.

Everytime you access an email that requires Letteropener you get a duplicate of the message showing. After each force quit another one appears. Trying to move or delete the message get a hang throwing the error message to console:

28/10/2013 11:50:28.972 am Mail[1548]: CFPropertyListCreateFromXMLData(): Old-style plist parser: missing semicolon in dictionary on line 3. Parsing will be abandoned. Break on _CFPropertyListMissingSemicolon to debug.

I had been trialing Letter Opener under Snow Leopard and found it to be a valuable plugin for Mail. I was ready to pay for a license when migrating to Lion but unfortunately version 4.0 is just to unstable. Mail would constantly crash when viewing messages encoded in TNEF.

Looking forward to a dot release to improve reliability.

I was going to write a lengthy review of Playback since ditching Medialink, but I think I'll just sum it up with...

Best. Streaming. Software. Ever!

I had been using media link for a while and for the most part it performed as expected. Unfortunately the upgrades sometimes cause more problems than they fixed.

Recently I started ripping my DVD collection using Handbrake with a custom low-profile setting. I found the movies played fine via the PS3's USB port but when being streamed via MediaLink I kept getting an Unknown Format error. I also noticed that the directory refreshes were slow and the thumbnails took a while to load.
Then I remembered stumbling across Yazsoft Playback. I downloaded the trial and loaded up a few of my movies. They all worked fine and looked better too. Even the loading of directories and thumbnails was quicker, more-over it works for the Xbox 360 and PS 3 for $15 instead of having to pay $40 for two different products.

Finally!! I've been waiting a long time for someone to write this program. I can now easily add a post install scripts to my custom packages without having to stuff around with plist files.

Thanks Lucid Information Systems.

I love Safari Plus, it's favourite cookie function is a real security blanket for me, however I feel as though the flash and image management features are extraneous. More focus on the cookie management would be better.
Unfortunately it's got a few drawbacks - it currently doesn't work with WebKit 420+ or Safari 3 under Leopard. Probably not an issue for most users, but as a developer it's a killer.
I hope it gets an update soon.

I was using a demo version of Snippets that used a xml database before it transitioned to a sqlite database in 0.5.2. I've tried several methods of upgrading but it won't import the xml data. Is there any way I can do this, maybe get an older version, or are all my snippets of code now unusable?
