All this does is prioritize CPU cycles to the foreground app. So, for example, if you render something in Photoshop, and then decide to check your mail with your app of choice, Photoshop will slow down drastically and increase your rendering times accordingly. If you only run one app at a time (+Finder), you'll make the Finder sluggish. This is a scam, folks, and it's easy enough to accomplish the same thing using the Terminal app, part of the Mac OS.

I agree that ratings of software should in large part be based on the utility of the software in question. In this case, in the description of the software the fact that the "Enterprise" version is not free should be included in the blurb without requiring someone to click on the "More" button. Also, the feature description is incomplete. Most PDFs include formatting, etc. Does this software just generate an unformatted text file without line breaks and with loss of the original formatting?

A few notes:

Fast DVD Copy installs with root privileges; that's why you have to reboot after installation and why it may be difficult to remove without the benefit of third party utilities

Fast DVD Copy changes your application folder's privileges to root in some cases. Make sure you have Disk Utility handy.

Fast DVD Copy costs $80 with the $20 discount. However, it does not explicitly support the Pioneer A-108 mechanism or other common dual layer DVD burners mechanism. Multiple inquiries as to whether dual layer DVDs and DVD burners are supported have been unanswered during a 7 business day period.

A new dual layer DVD costs about $10. Failing to make a copy five times means I will have spent $120, which I could have applied to buying about six new DVDs in jewel boxes with liners, etc.–and not have to worry in the least about the legality of Fast DVD Copy for copying copy-protected materiel.

There is no money back or trial period.

Fast DVD Copy is only licensed for use with one machine. God forbid you have to reinstall the system on that machine. Velan software is not obligated to send you a new serial number.

If you are paying with a credit card, you always have the recourse of writing to the CC company if you have any problem with Fast DVD Copy, support or what you may (accurately) feel are misleading claims. However, Velan Software is located in Chile. Nevertheless, most CC companies will credit your account even if Velan Software fails to respond to their queries.

I wonder how long MPAA will allow Velan Software to sell this product. Perhaps that's why Velan resides in Chile?
