[Version 3.2.1]

A good start, but the UI is a bit too unintuitive to use for me just yet. But it has good potential, so I'll keep an eye out for future releases. There's just too many little icons and such without instructions about what they mean. Even some tooltips would do wonders.

The developer contacted me directly regarding my feedback below, and this release is the result of that communication. Dicy now does everything I could ever expect from a dice roller application, and the developer has shown themselves to be extremely aware of their userbase.

I never expected to be so impressed by a dice roller app, but here we are.

I find the comments about the price very disheartening; this is one of the very, VERY few applications I've actually been happy to pay for, given its feature set. I'm also surprised by the comments about "never received feedback", as I've personally emailed them regarding various features/bug reports and gotten personalized emails in short time.

As for the application itself, it does what it says on the box. The reason I was willing to pay for it rather than use MenuMeters (which I had used prior to iStat) was that it does it slicker and with additional options. This combines a few applications I'd had before (smc fancontrol is integrated, it has a slim battery monitor, and an expanded Date/Time menu) with what MenuMeters offered, as well as giving me more useful (and readable) information in its dropdowns for menus like Network or Battery.

All in all, I find it totally worth my money. Yes, there are similar free programs. But they're only similar, and I personally find iStat Menus (and its developers) does enough extra to earn my money.

Fantastic! As a high-downloading Rogers customer, this is very useful to me. It has all the information I'd need, is easy to read, and quick to access. It needs nothing else.

(Keep in mind if the widget is having trouble updating, it's almost always Rogers that's the problem. I thought I had issues, but then discovered I couldn't access the Internet Usage page manually either.)

A solid roller! The floating window and dock menu are fantastic additions. Perhaps the Dock roller could also give out a Growl alert?

Also, if an option could be given for the window to either show the animated dice, or just smaller buttons with "d4, d6" etc? It would be an even smaller footprint and less visually distracting, at the compromise of the dice being less visually identifiable (hence why only as an option).

This is a good product, and I'll use it as my roller during sessions from now on. If it could roll pools of dice with options like "drop lowest/highest" or you could enter formulas on the fly instead of just presets, I'd happily replace my other dice roller app with this; it certainly already looks better!
