The fact that these folks would publish an update the day before our tax returns are due is total BULL****!

Also, those of you that have already filed your taxes (I have!), DO NOT UPDATE THE INSTALLED APPLICATION!!!! Once I file I no longer apply updates. If there's a problem with my return, well IRS, here's the TurboTax I used to file my return. Not sure it would help, but at least it's a start.

Have used this backup solution off and on over the years. Always come back. Just upgraded to version 4 and it is the best release to date. And the support from Stefan (developer) is nothing short of fantastic. Two words describe Arq . . . THE BEST!

One suggestion, spring for the $25. I did this afternoon and had my first database (CD/LP Collection) created (based on an import from Bento) within 15 minutes. As of yet it doesn't have the layout design features of Bento, but what it does have is an ease of creation and an uncluttered interface. I'm sure additional features will follow. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Took at look at this a while back and went another route. After many issues with a few of the services (Amazon S3 and Mac OS X still have their differences, to put it kindly!) gave SpiderOak another try. They seem to have come a long, long way. The application is solid, easy to navigate and a breeze to set up. Got in touch with support on reinstating my email address so I could try the service again, and their response came the same day.

Now have it installed on both my iMac and my laptop PC, and it's hard to tell from the UI as to which platform I'm on. That's the way it should be!

All in all, if you haven't tried this service as of yet, you should give it a spin. I'm glad I did.

I was a big fan of the original version of Espionage, and then again so with version 2. But I'm having trouble understanding what real (with the elimination of the "application association" feature) value this application now has over just creating encrypted disk images within Apple's Disk Utility. You still end up opening the encrypted data image, and then launching the application. Anybody?

Haven't tried the software (not sure why I'd want to click the mouse 1000 times per second!) but I'd sure like to know where to download that desktop background.

Great little application for those of us who are bothered by those "little" changes Apple seems to make to our systems without asking. For me, this took care of the annoying "Empty Trash" window animation. Thank you developer for this as well as the great wallpapers available on your web site.

I've been using this utility for over a year and it has saved my bacon at least twice that I can remember. And the thing is, once you install/configure it, you totally forget that it's running and keeping copies of your work. That is until things go wrong with whatever application you're working in. Then it hit you . . . I have backup copies. You launch the main application and BAM, all versions of your document are there for you to recover. Indispensable and worth twice the shareware price.

Great application, great support!

Downloaded the new beta 2.9.6 and all the icons at the top toolbar changed from color to plain black and white. Just me, or is this going to change back to color icons (OK, I like "pretty") in a later release?

The further that I get into this program the more I like it. Unfortunately, that also means coming up with suggestions that wil add work load for the developer, but hopefully make the program better.

1. How about a "preference" menu that let's us pick the location for our collection files. A lot of us do regular backups of our "Documents" folder, so there would be a good place to store these files.
2. If the above is not possible, how about adding a backup within the program that allows a regular backup of the files rather than a 7z version.
3. The programs "preference" file is loose in the Application Support folder. Why not store it in the 'myVinyl" folder that gets created in the Application Support folder by the program.

Homer1 had trouble on 03 Aug 2010
Tried to import a small (7 albums) Excel export from Discogs just to test out the import function. Program hangs after the first album is imported.
