I agree with Bb553.
This was always a pain in the neck as it did not run in the background but at least it wiped one's internet history.
Now they have tried to change it into CleanMyMac, or similar, at the cost of $30.
Avoid.

How can v11.8.800.64 (however ridiculous the numbering might be) be the stable version and v11.8.800.50 be the beta version?

v21.0 has now been released. It will catch up with my age in a month or two!

I have used v9 for several years; they now want the GBP equivalent of USD 49.95 to 'upgrade'.

Ridiculous.

With all due respect, I fail to see what a vulnerability on the Passcode has to do with batteries.

I you are a lady then I can understand your concern with batteries …

Does the security issue with Firefox v16 also affect Thunderbird?

There has also been a bug since v13.01 whereby an unsent email, because of ISP problems, then goes to the 'Sent' Folder.

I have not experienced the crash with v9.0 which some Mac users are. However, all the bookmark icons have disappeared in v9.0

I have gone back to v8.0.1

Yes, both set to true.

I am inclined to agree with Sc and it is a bug.

I have always had a Mac since the late 1980s and System 6. Snow Leopard was (is!) the most stable of them all.

I have not upgraded but a friend has and he is having all sorts of problems. Besides, I want my iBook to behave like a Mac not an iPad.

I am in the UK and running 10.6.8

iWork 9.1 Update 6 and iTunes 10.4 are showing up using Software Update but Safari 5.1 is not.

I have a late 2009 iBook Pro with Intel Core 2 Duo, which I presumed was 64-bit.

Several hours after my original post; Safari 5.1 has now appeared on Software Update.
