This is a great, powerful, always-improving and growing app, that is more than worth its cost. I've used it for over 10 years, and it is my default for handling image files of any kind. It isn't Photoshop, but how many of us really need all the features and overhead of Photoshop? And, it costs 1/10th as much. The convo in the comments here illustrates how available and involved Thorsten, the creator, is on a daily basis to users. He maintains an email list for daily discussion of new features, feature requests, bugs, beta releases, etc, and is directly available by email. As the song says, "You'll never get that from any other guy".

The basics you will use over and over -- resizing, adjusting contrast, sharpening, levels, color saturation, etc are all rock solid. It has a photo file browser that isn't just easy to navigate, but does finder operations, so that you can do those without opening and saving the file more times, thus preserving your image quality.

It's batch scripting functions are extensive and powerful. I'm in the process of abandoning jpg for png. With a few clicks, I'll create a batch script to convert them and save the originals to a new sub-folder. I haven't checked to see if he's got a png gamma correction function in there yet, but if so, I'll put that in the script, too. Boom! All done!

I've shorted GC 1/2 a star on features and ease of use only because it's a bit less powerful than Photoshop, and the interface a bit less slick. Unreserved positive recommendation.

Has become too useful to ignore. Ubiquitous.

Excellent little app. Kudos to the developer. Simple, effective, no-nonsense. Not sure why rating system won't let me give all 5's, but I tried!

Very disappointed. Couldn't make it work. Doesn't deal with anything but pop music. It requires too much personal information and makes it very hard to delete your account. Invasive. Unruly.

Liking RadioShift as a way to hear new music.
