For some odd reason for me Domainer does not show the domain creation or expiration dates in the lists or any viewing format ?!!! It shows Alexa and Page Ranks but not what I'm interested in at a glance such as expiration, registrar, DNS servers, creation date ..... I am not sure if it captures all the whois info and types of domains either. And it didn't seem to import a csv export properly but I'm using a demo so maybe it won't allow me to use of all features?

At this point I still prefer to use Domain Tracker BUT ..... Please I NEED HELP if anyone can please help: I have a major problem w/ the older DomainTracker :

Can anyone please help me with HOW to DECODE or DECRYPT the domain tracker notes? i.e. How to turn off the database notes encryption feature cuz even tho I don't have a password and as far as I know I never told it to encrypt.....

I don't know how it happened but now all the notes are now in some form of a string of mainly numbers and letters, like this but longer: c8864886984846c666468618284668448482048666c

Is there a way to figure out how to do that? please?

I really like(d) that little app -- it's got some great features needed by mac domain owners/webmasters BUT something in domaintracker somehow causes the notes to encrypt or encode as noted above (it's a long string of numbers and a little text) but I can't figure out how to undo or turn off that feature and now also can't get any kind of response from the developer -- mark[a]colovo.com even tho we bought it several yrs back.

Any suggestions from any who knows what the encoding/encryption feature of Domain Tracker is or does and how to UNencode/DEcode/UNencrypt/DEcrypt would be GREATLY APPRECIATED for sure. anyone who has previously figured out how to un-do it with success?

thank you for taking the time to read; hope someone can help please me with the gall darned encryption feature of Domain Tracker for mac os x on tiger cuz I can't reach the developer so please I really would desperately appreciate knowledgeable help w/ it.

thank you.

horrible performance on ppc 10.4.11 -- just freekin awful.

huge memory leaks, memory hog over extended usage. stalls, stagnates, incessant unrelenting spinning beach balls, hangs all the time, requires multiple frequent force quits and restarts

DO NOT WASTE your money on this -- as posted at webkit.org -- safari has changed and this utilit is no longer relevant -- it does NOTHING to safari 2, 3 anymore.

cool little util -- now utilities once provided similar features in Classic; fruit menu provides something kinda similar but requires the haxie/ape which is not good so this is less intrusive -- but on my non-intel imac is still a pretty sluggish add-on unfortunately....

meanwhile hopefully st. clair has fixed the column resize annoyance w/in their little corner of the os x universe -- i only wish apple, who hates their life long customers, would get their sheite together and fix the unfreekin believable 9+? year old column resize bug in finder, mail, and everything!!! how lazy and indifferent to users can apple continue to be?

thx st clair for something apple should have included; glad you've stepped up to the plate.

cool concept!

Will you next provide a simulator of the Secret Communication System which was invented/patented by the dearly missed ultra-glamorous, beautiful and super-intelligent film star of the golden film era, the late Hedy Lamarr?

Not quite perfect, but it's getting there. I don't use all the features, mainly the web accounts and the secure notes. But it's a hell of a lot more logical and user friendly than apple's confusing and mystifying, often buggy keychain access app (which 1Password uses/interfaces with but pretty much you get to avoid the keychain access app with 1Password -- mostly, except when bugs pop up, which they do, which keeps 1Password from being a 5 star app at this point).

Apple could learn alot from these guys in terms of making the whole keychain/security/secure access thing more logical and easy to understand.

meanwhile i would give apple's own keychain maybe 2 stars if that many -- for all apple's reputation of being easy to use and user friendly, keychain access app is ONE AWFUL CONFUSING MESS. they have a done a terrible job of explaining how to actually use the thing for top security & protection purposes.

1Password needs to do some work on the secure notes area for sure; a user used to be able to search/find and replace in the notes and search ALL items for any keyword but that does not work anymore so it's at best a step backwards. And there are weird bugs that crop up from time to time. It's not perfect but it's better than nothing and better than apple's pitiful keychain only by itself for sure.

That being said, this is a MUST-HAVE application for saving email/web account settings and passwords due to not seeing anything else that works better or cheaper....

Still 1Password is a valuable addition to the mac landscape and these guys are always looking to make improvements -- so while I don't give them all five stars on everything yet, they are at least 4 and pretty soon maybe 4.5 stars.

He has a beta version for safari 3 and 10.4.x
at his home page> http://web.mac.com/jrc/SafariPlus/
download link is>
http://web.mac.com/jrc/SafariPlus/download/SafariPlus-1.6a1.zip

This is something apple should include in safari.
also, ideally it should have a searchable field/box like camino, firefox, cocoa cookies, etc

I have LittleSnitch & LOVE it -- would never want to live w/o it, however Launchbar is not so great for me so far: hogging WAY too much CPU (often above 65%), stalls & appears as 'not responding' in activity monitor, subsequently requires force quit, and generally slows everything way down -- when it's going other processes also frequently seem to zoom way up in CPU usage & stall since I've installed it (systemUIserver, windowserver, safari especially).

I'm not sure if it's because i'm also giving googledesktop search/service a trial run which is also currently indexing everything (multiple drives are attached by firewire 400 at times) or if it's just cuz LaunchBar is high cpu usage on ppc g5 running 10.4.11 or the combination of what I have on my system is just not compatible (for instance I'm turning to these spotlight alternatives b/c spotlight just completely stopped working for no reason that I can determin.

Plus, the console is FULL of these MDs related errors:
# Can't checkin with server named com.apple.metadata.mdserver, error 0x10000004"
# SystemUIServer[208] /SourceCache/Matador/Matador-121.36/SearchItem/Models/_MDQueryAdaptor.m -[_MDQueryAdaptor _createMDQuery] Can't execute query 'kMDItemContentTypeTree == com.apple.application && _kMDItemIgnore != *
# diskarbitrationd[45]: mds [185]:14907 not responding

any feedback or tips greatly appreciated b/c I cannot figure out what's happened (I have archived reinstalled system twice & spotlight always breaks)--thanks for taking the time to read and help if you can!

I couldn't get it to complete the install on os x 10.4.11 tiger G5 ppc

when i ran a verify files using Pacifist, it reported:
3 of 130 files had checksums that did not match those specified in the package.

did this on files downloaded from the developer and via the apple downloads site
