Hey, Macupdate, Firefox 17.0 was released today.
[Version 16.0.2]

For some reason, you can't get away with only installing this java version to run apps such as tinyumbrella or frostwire alone. It keeps asking me if i want to download Java se6. I've got this version, why should i need that one? I have the SDK for se7 installed as well to no avail.

But even Firefox seems to require it as well. I was under the impression that these java versions were separate and not requiring the previous version to work. For example, I don't require java 6 for java 7 to work in windows.

That's awesome that i was downvoted twice because i mentioned windows on a mac site! like i've said before though, this makes no sense since Firefox has no issue at all with just java 7 on windows. Heck, firefox doesn't even have a problem with just using java 7 now that java 6 is installed on the system. (its not using 6 at all, i've checked.) This one is all on apple.

As of today, none of that matters anymore. I got what i wanted because apple released an update that does just that. Java 7 works without Java 6 now. faith in humanity partially restored. And i'll also have you know that java on linux works exactly the same as on windows, so mac should be no exception. These downvotes are becoming childish though. but alas, they really mean nothing. PS. Macupdate, Java 7 is now at

Updated to Flash Player 11 today. So far, i'm pretty happy with what i'm seeing. Ever since i switched to a Mac, youtube videos refused to play after pausing them. I'm happy to say that with this new update, watching videos are hassle free again.

I converted from firefox on day one. I'd say Chrome is the best browser out there for the foreseeable future.

I would like to make a correction to my previous post and rating.
This app doesn't deserve to be one starred, i only chose that at the time because of how suspicious it was. I was able to download the app, use it as it is advertised, and even go to the dev's site. for that, i'm giving it its proper rating now.
If possible, could someone delete my first rating?

TrashMe is my choice program when it comes to cleanly deleting apps. I upgraded to Lion, so I upgraded TrashMe as well. Overall, the app is a nice improvement. My only gripe is that it seems to have lost the ability to find and display orphaned files for deletion.
Is this feature truly gone, or am i missing it somewhere in the app?
If it is gone, are there any plans to add it back in the future?

With Elmedia being updated, i'd think it no longer would require additional components to be installed for "full feature mode", yet it still asks for my password to do so.
The .dmg no longer has an uninstaller bundled... what's the deal here?

Not necessarily a review for the 2.x version, but i thought i'd mention that 3.0.1 is available in the Mac App Store. I wonder why it hasn't been mentioned at all yet.
onto the semi review then!
I used mainmenu exclusively for a year until i uninstalled it because of suspicions of negative effects on os stability. Now with reinstalling it, it seems so far that those problems were fixed!

Love this program, but i've been having problems with it recently.
I've converted a file from FLAC to AIFF but it won't add the album artwork to its icon, its only visible in iTunes.

I'm currently on 10.7.1 if that helps. I deleted all the files related to XLD in case its just a corrupt preference or something, but i deleted the app itself too!

Does anyone know of a mirror to download this app since google can't find it right now?

can download it again, but my previous problem still exists.
...either a problem with Lion or XLD.
