Don't like the new UI in 3.1.

What was simple now is "ordered" what was intuitive has now become structured.

The'Effects' palate now becomes the centre of my operations and gives rise to a series of very dark/black tool options which are way too small and very hard to read. I agree with the comment about it 'Looking trendy' but it soon wears thin, especially on my laptop where the icons are tiny/unreadable.

Have to agree with the comments re stability too, have several crashes per day.

Conclusion: Despite the enticing advertising the older version was better.

Sketch is so cool the UI has got to be the most exciting thing I have played with in the last 10 years.

It is NOT a replacement for Freehand or any other heavyweight, and it is never intended to be one, but in its niche it is a winner.

It makes doing graphics FUN again, when I opened the demo I just played and was amazed at how simple and elegant this programme is.

Overall now I use Intaglio+Pixelmator+Cheetah 3D+Sketch and pretty much I have all bases covered [I also have a 3D CAD programme for heavy lifting] at a fraction of the cost of Illustrator.

A little bit disappointed with version 4 in my opinion it has gone backward. I used to be able to run my small business from version 3.6 but v4 has turned Money into a home budget manager.
It may be ok for you if that's all you are after but for me it only scores a 3. Older version would score a 4.5.

Very easy to use 3D CAD with a very complete set of tools. Comparable to Archicad or Vectorworks but a little less sophisticated.
Learning curve is less than both of these but price is a bargain.

80-90% of Archicad use ability at 1/4 the price is a good deal.
Quite good rendering inbuilt but can export to 3Dstudio, Artlantis and Cheetah 3D to do high level presentations.

Very easy to develop your own 3D content.
