Initially, I was skeptical about this app. I didn't see what it could add to Firefox's password keeper and SplashID, which I was already using. But I tried the Mac Gems Promo version anyway, and I was blown away. 1Password is extremely simple and intuitive to use, and, in true Mac fashion, it's powerful and elegant. I use its Strong Password Generator feature to generate a new password every time I need one online, so that I don't compromise my security by using the same password over and over because it's the only one I can remember. The developers are friendly and very responsive. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Debtinator's non-judgmental, light-hearted attitude is exactly what I need to be able to face my finances. But it doesn't stop there! The philosophy behind the program is very sound: pay down the debt with the highest interest rate first, then add the amount of that payment to the debt with the next highest rate, and so on. But if you don't want to do that, the program has many other ways to help you attack the debt monster. It is dead-simple to use but also has advanced features that I don't _need_ to use yet. Best of all, the developer is extraordinarily responsive and courteous! In my opinion, this is an elegant, powerful app that does exactly what it says it will do and does it well. $15 is chump change for this level of service and usability!

This is one of the applications that I love to use and seek out reasons TO use. It combines an astonishing number of features with great ease of use. In my opinion, there are generous upgrade paths from earlier versions. The developer is extraordinarily responsive and friendly. MacJournal has crashed on me a few times (that's one of the ways I know how responsive the developer is!) and I've had trouble getting it set up perfectly to post to my blog on Blogger, but that may be pilot error. All in all, this application is a joy to use. And don't go thinking I write this about every piece of software I own, because this is the first review I've ever written.
