Now that OneNote is finally Mac native my days of using CrossOver are finished.

I own Freedom and love the concept behind it. However, I also want the opposite of this - where, for example, I can set myself a twenty minute window to surf the internet and at the end of the twenty minutes my internet gets cut off. Anyone know if this is possible?

This looks like a good alternative to Day One if it supports encryption as well as well password protection. Anyone know if the entries from this app are encrypted?

How does this app, with only 229 downloads, make it onto MacUpdate's featured list? I think MacUpdate should be telling us if the featured list is a paid feature for developers because as far as I'm concerned there is a lot more important software out there which have many more downloads.

The version listed here is 1.18, however the version I downloaded from the website is 1.19 (26). This version doesn't allow me to use the app in full-screen mode - the screencast on the website shows this should be possible. I'm running 10.8.3 on a MacBook Pro.

This seems like an almost trivial 'upgrade' for a 2.0 version.

Just wondering why MacUpdate doesn't list Scrivener as one of the highlighted (red) applications? Every single writer I know uses it.

I have just downloaded the new version. It keeps telling me that I have entered my name or password incorrectly (even though I've triple-checked and tried both my short name and long name) and then gets stuck on reading parameters. The program never opens properly and has to be force quit.

I haven't tried this yet, but from the screenshot and description it sounds like a complete copy of ByWord, but without the iCloud/Dropbox sync to the iOS apps.

I can't get this to work. Whenever I try to open a protected App a dialog box appears, I type my password, press OK and nothing happens. The dialog box doesn't go away and the App doesn't open. I have tried this with a number of applications. I get the following error message in Console.app

"27/11/10 5:00:36 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.macinapps.appdefender[179]) Job appears to have crashed: Trace/BPT trap
27/11/10 5:00:44 PM com.macinapps.appdefender[226] 2010-11-27 17:00:44.675 mwagent[229:907] *** -[NSCFString substringToIndex:]: Range or index out of bounds"

I don't know why someone has given me a negative rep just because a program was hanging and not working properly, but I seem to have worked it out. To fix the problem I needed to go into the common settings and set a password there - the password I was setting at startup didn't seem to be sticking. I emailed my original post here to the developer and got a response within minutes. I replied to that email shortly afterwards with some more details and got another response within minutes so kudos to the developer for that.
