upgraded from vs 3. to v4.01, and I noticed a huge spike in the normal operating temperature of my Macbook Pro (2.3GHZ 2012 model). The normal temperature was consistently at ~180F. Downgraded, rebooted, and back to ~90F. Not sure what's going on...

This app makes it so easy to add new events to iCal... I only wish there was a way to integrate this directly with CalendarBar, which has a much better UI for viewing events.

I used to swear by this thing, but now I use Tweetie... and I'm not going back!

Ecoute rocks; it's like a streamlined version of iTunes, with a much better interface!

I've installed this, but it's not displaying any messages. The console is blank too. This is a really great idea, I wish it worked...

Sparrow uses a LOT of RAM, even after the initial setup (where it downloads email from the gmail servers). After leaving Sparrow running for a day, it's using 600M+ of RAM (more than Safari). The developers should pull this app from the APP store and fix this immediately!

You will find similar complaints under the "critical" reviews section in the App Store. Consider the following: "Do I have a right to complain if I buy a chair that breaks when I sit on it?" I don't want to spend money on something that's a work in progress; I am not paying to be a beta tester. A second complaint: this thing downloads so many files from my Gmail account, that it makes a huge mess in my Time Machine!

actually, I am a developer :) that's why the memory leak annoyed me. I need every ounce of my 8GB for work, so having a bloated email program is annoying. I agree that a 1/2 star rating is a bit harsh, but I got really annoyed when I saw how much ram it was using. These issues were discussed in the review section of the app store, take a look when you get a chance...

The developers are doing an excellent job maintaining the app. I like the direction they're taking, and I love frequent feature updates :) Unfortunately macupdate won't let me change the rating, or else i would increase it to 4 stars.
