Crashes so much (just about every other time I use it) that I wrote my own application, MovieTool, to do some of the things this program does. Great when it works though and has some features that are currently hard to find elsewhere.

This is the developer of iRecord. I have heard from many people that they would like to see compression functionality added to the software so that they can record files for transmittion by email, etc. I have decided to incorporate this functionality into the next version of iRecord, and I have created a dummy interface that shows the features that will be added.

An updated version of iRecord that contains this dummy interface can be downloaded directly from:

Please send any comments about the interface, or requests for additional features to

Currently, I am planning to release iRecord 1.1 next weekend, but donations always speed things up (

Thank you for your continued support,

Yes, websites do exist that will give you this information for free. However, much of the Mac is not about simply obtaining information. It's about how you get it. Xconvert provides a number of advantages in this regard.

1) Rates are cached so that they can be used without a connection to the internet.

2) Alerts inform you when rates have become outdated so you can update them for greatest accuracy.

3) Quick searching gives you the information you need as fast as possible.

4) The interface is streamlined to give you the results you need, when you need them.

5) Xconvert integrates excellently with the rest of your Mac-based workflow.

So, if you want information only, use the internet. But, if you want a complete solution, try Xconvert.
