I stand by my previous review for v.3.0.8 and can't imagine using without this add-on.

There is a cost to upgrade ($14.95) when a new OS comes out. With the frequency of new Mac OS rollouts this may seem prohibitive. In all fairness the developer has to rework the add-on for new versions and updates to, and I appreciate that he does so in a prompt fashion. In addition he offers a lifetime upgrade option, bringing the one time cost to $34.90, future-proofing Letter Opener. Considering that Lion itself is $29.99 I often hesitate to upgrade Letter Opener until I realize how much I miss it!

Well tonymaynard, I gave the app 5 stars because it performs as I need it to. I still run version 4 (4.0.2) as I have not upgraded to Mountain Lion. I sympathize with your frustration. This plugin shouldn't even have a market, Apple should have this built in to Shoulda, coulda… doesn't. At least not in 10.7.5, nor has it since I jumped the Windows ship back with Leopard.

There are a lot of little things that frustrate me about Apple, but I can't fault this developer for capitalizing on it. I'm glad there are developers willing to fill these obvious gaps (Dockstar, Attachment Tamer, Mail Act-on, etc.)

With that said, looking at the current pricing, (what I have listed in my review is dated) it seems pretty inflated. But, I've been using Letter Opener for a long time, and have found it valuable. Basically what I do is, after an OS upgrade, I ask myself if I miss it. If I do, I upgrade.

It's worth noting I have found Chris, the developer, responds quickly to support requests and has been nothing but professional in our communications.

You are welcome to develop your own tool and provide it for free. I'll even send you a donation if it works as well.

I just want to express my love for 1Password. I was paying for something today and pulled up the appropriate info needed from 1P and was struck by an overwhelming sense of gratitude for a product that is both elegant, continually evolving and practical. A switcher and one time power user of RoboForm, I find 1P (for my Macbook and iPhone) to be a wonderful Mac alternative. Where Roboform has its strengths and a long history of development, it tended towards a cluttered interface. 1P has made such great strides in a relatively short period of time. I recommend it to all my security challenged & password overwhelmed Mac friends. Keep up the good work!!

I am happy with this product combined with Letter Opener, it's a great compliment to, promptly upgraded when Apple makes changes to Nothing worse than being stuck with plugins that you rely on that don't get updated in a timely fashion. Support has always been spot on and quick to respond. As a switcher, and once heavy Outlook user, I find this product indispensable. Basically if you want a quality, transparent product that will help bridge the gap between the Windows Outlook world and Apple's, this is the product for you!

You're right, I did. Is "pendantifying" a word?

Solid, ever-evolving plugin. As a switcher, and once heavy user of Outlook, this tool solves a lot of the issues that I had in regards to attachments in Have been using it, and its previous incarnations from the beginning. Happy with its performance and support, when needed, has always been prompt & truly helpful. Love the new features in V3, particularly handling rogue ATT attachments that seems to find there way into messages when viewed by Windows users.

Excellent product. A switcher and previous user of Roboform, I've found this constantly evolving and developing application the only comparable game in town. Support is awesome and the developers really seem to actually give a sh!t. I recommend this to all my password overwhelmed Mac user friends. For only being in development for a fairly short time in comparison to Roboform, it does a stellar job! If I were to have to point out one area where it needs work, that's in its form filling features. For the most part it gets the job done, but often I find forms only partially being filled. But EVERY time I report the instance to 1Pass support, they are right on it!
