So, 4.20 doesn't change anything to deal with Mavericks new memory designations for Memory vs Real Mem, App Memory, File Cache and Compressed.

I find that if the folder dropped on the app contains multiple levels of sub-folders with .DS_Store files in them, I need to drop the topmost folder on the app multiple times until it finally says there are zero .DS_Store files.

Anyone else noticing issues under Mavericks.

Network datarates shown seem to be way off. For example, with no significant upload bandwidth going on, iStat reports 2 to 14 mbits upload, My upload caps at 2 mbit, so even that's not realistic, but especially for nothing being uploaded. Download speed seems off as well.

Memory needs an update to support new memory categories App Memory, File Cache, Compressed.

Ignore the Network datarate comments. I think it was just LAN traffic that for some reason I wasn't thinking was included.

The Memory section changes still apply though.

In addition to the many other issues people have mentioned about 3.0, here's what I'm seeing with the huge memory use.

Library - 3,276 items - 30 shelves.

With 2.0, open the app - 163 MB used, clicking through every few seconds each of my shelves - 1.3 GB used, then after a bit it drops to 660 MB. Not great even with this version, but useable.

With 3.0, open the app - 402 MB used, click through the 30 shevles - 3.3 GB…. memory doesn't begin to go down… click back through some of the shelves and resize zoom (that never remembers it setting the next time you launch) grows to 3.7 GB… wait, still doesn't drop.

So, way way way too much memory for this app under 3.0.

If you have a Smart List created using "Playlist is 'Source playlist 1'", "Playlist is 'Source playlist 2'", etc. with Live updating, and you add new videos into the Souce playlists, The Smart Playlist doesn't update with the new videos as expected. Even quitting and re-opening doesn't work. You must edit the Smart Playlist and re-save it and then the new videos appear.

Clarification. If drop the video into All videos to import and then move it to the Source playlist, the smart playlist does auto update. If I drop the video directly into the source playlist to import, that's where it doesn't auto update.

Seems to cause a large memory leak within Window Server. Not sure if number of videos added has any bearing. Open the app and immediately my Window Server memory starts climbing from starting point of around 150 MB to very high if you leave it open for an hour+. It grew to 2 GBs at one point. Quit that app and it's stops growing. Watching Activity monitor, the memory moves up 1-2 MB every 5-10 seconds. Quitting the app may cause it to slowly start going back down or at least drop a little bit then stop, but if the memory has grown to multiple GBs, the only solution is to reboot to get the memory back quickly. Purging the system memory doesn't have any affect and it remains Active memory.

4.0.5

• First time after boot, the World clocks don't appear in the drop down when the time is clicked. Close it and reopen and then they appear.

• World clocks still don't show light/dark time of day indication.

• Disk Activity still doesn't identify the drives in a Volume Name manner, thus making it difficult to know which drive is which.

• CPU and Memory lists still don't identify app names the same way Activity Monitor does such as with Java apps.

Another issue in 4.0.4.

Sometimes when I click the time, only the calendar appears and not my world clocks. But if I toggle it off and then back on again, the clocks appear.

"4.0.1 - Fixed issue with disk activity not working with some disks."

Not for me, by external firewire drives still do not show any activity history.

Further note. I have one external USB drive which does have the activity history, so it appears to be limited to firewire for the problem.

That was an old problem with an old version. I see history for all my drives in the latest versions. Problem is, the drives in the Activity section need to be labeled by their volume names since I have multiple drives from the same manufacturer and they all show with the same name and I can't tell one form the other.
