Good News!

Ecamm responded to an info request: another developer has taken over Dockstar development.

No indication of who or when. But supposedly we are going to get a Maverick version.

I have owned iConquer 3 and 4. Recently bought a new iMac and wanted to transfer my license. There is a website portal for that but it doesn't work.

Weeks of emails to KavaSoft have resulted in nothing. No replies.

They are either out of business. Or they really don't care about the people who paid them money.

Either way, stay far, far away from this company.

I have both the mac & iphone versions of 1P and I don't begrudge Agile one penny of the money I have spent with them (I also own a copy of Knox).

There is no better password/identity program out there.

Don't leave home without it.

I have emailed the developers and I hope we see an update soon. In the past Dockstar has been quickly updated, which is why I purchased it.

It has become an indispensable tool in my workflow.

And just like that they have updated it to work with 10.6.4.

Great app and great service!

I hope I am wrong about this but I think Tweetie for Mac is dead.

I bought this app last year and was hoping to see the promised update to feature parity with Tweetie for iPhone (now the official Twitter client). But I don't think it is going to happen unless their next project is an official PC/Mac client.

And I would be surprised if they did that as the future of services like Twitter is obviously tied to mobility and instant communications.

I love YummySoup and have been using it for years, but now I want more…I want to send my shopping lists to a YummySoup app on my iPhone and have the ability to check off the items as I purchase them.

And yes I will pay for the app through the app store.

Please, please, please….

Some companies truly deserve the user community's support and I must say that LittleFin is one of the best I have encountered. They provide quick responses to user requests and they have a real commitment to making the application as good as it can be.

Plus free updates for life.

It is hard to imagine a better deal.

Continuing at a glacial pace: UnSanity now says that there is a beta for SL compatibility, but surprise, surprise you can't have it. Nope, not publicly available. But it exists. Trust them.

Oh, I can't wait.

No really.

despite what it says here and on developer's website there doesn't appear to be a 8.1 version, only 8.0

Since posting the above comment I have had an email exchange with the developer and I was impressed with his responsiveness and professionalism.

As his reply above states, the versioning problem was fixed and I am a happy Dateline user.

One minor issue which the developer is working to fix--but which should be pointed out here--if you select the Desktop option in the Window Level menu (Preferences/Appearance) you will not be able to access Dateline except immediately after launch.

To fix this choose the Desktop Icons option.

For the fun of it I just checked Unsanity's website and what to my wondering eyes appeared?

"Unsanity is still hard at work on Snow Leopard compatibility for the rest of our stuff and will be announcing availability as things become ready. Look for posts from Slava and Rosyna about WindowShade…"

Wow.
