Same here with Podcasts not being able to be deleted, just hundreds of old ones. Since the update, neither of my iPod Shuffles work at all. They mount and "Sync" Podcasts appear
on the Shuffles but neither of them will play anything. Restored both and no better. iPhone 4S is OK but bulky to carry around compared to the Shuffles.

If only Apple could release a version of FaceTime for Windows.
I only use Skype to friends with Windows, I always use FaceTime with Mac friends, one click
and you are connected. Simple sleek interface, with good
sound, vision and reliable. And best of all not a Microslop application.
I only use Skype V2.8, gave up when it went to v5, too large and complicated for me.

This great App is still broken.
Despite me turning off "Show Beta" and New OS, it still is offering me 5 beta updates for Apps.
It is also showing updates that require a new version instead of the Version I have , OS and APP
ie I have MS Office 2008 installed and it is is offering me updates for MS Office 2011!
I am close to trashing this App and no longer recommend it to friends. It's not the cost, $ 20 is reasonable it;s the annoying glitches!

Well Aimeraider, I am afraid it doesn't work correctly for me even after uninstalling and reinstalling
Yes, it works OK but offers me many BETA versions that I do not wish to use. This is one problem specifically mentioned as a bug that was fixed in this version.

I am glad to see that you understand what I mean that unchecking 'Show Beta' does not work for me. I don't want beta software on my Mac. I have been badly bitten in the past running on the bleeding edge with beta versions.
I have use AppCleaner for years and find it mostly very effective.
I then skim thru both the Libraries looking for files in Application Support, Preferences, Launch Agents and Daemons to find the stragglers. In this case I would be looking for any file with macupdatedesktop in the name.
I now mostly rely on the emails sent which is a good feature, even though it too offers beta updates, and rarely use the actual Application due to this annoying behaviour.

Absolutely brilliant App.
I look after a large Mac User Group whose members are scattered far and wide.
I can now fix most problems from my home and have saved tens of dollars in fuel costs.
The latest version now seems to work better with slower connections
This is important as several of our members only have ADSL 1. Absolutely indispensable, I use it nearly every day
I cannot afford a commercial App so this suits me well.

Forgot to mention:
It is essential that your partner keeps up to date with the latest version on their Mac

This version works very well with my XLS IQ RoutesStable and does what it is supposed to do. Have not had problems for many years, just works. iMac 27" 2011 MacBook Pro 13" 2011
Maybe those having problems have other problems with their Macs causing the trouble?

A friend of mine recently accidentally re-formatted his External Hard Drive which contained all his iTunes Music library and media. As a long time user of Drive Genius, last night, I purchased Data Rescue 3, ran it all night and recovered all 115GB of his music, and I have now imported the music it back into iTunes. I have never ventured into data recovery before, but I have to say that your program is not only effective, but also very intuitive to use. I didn't have time to read the full manual. Just used the deleted Items scan. It took about 7 hours to scan and about 4 hrs to recover the music.
I love the way the recovered files are shown in Folders, in this case Music, with each type nested inside, i.e. MP3, AIFF, etc
It even restored the song and album name, and the artwork artwork!
Needless to say we are both very impressed with Data Rescue!
Highly recommended!

I have used MM 2 since it was invented. It is reliable and I trust it like DiskWarrior. They are the only tools needed for 90% of problems. MM 2 will NOT work with Lion hence the upgrade.
When I downloaded and first used the trial, I was disappointed to see that the translucent Log window option had been removed.
I like to see what it is doing as it performs the routines.
I sent feedback to MM and within 24 hours, this feature has been returned! That is what I call support! So it is now at 3.0.2
If you have 3.0.1 it will update itself as soon as you launch it.
I consider the discounted price (if you already have MM2) to be money well spent. It also appears to be MUCH faster than MM2
I have run it on my 2.66 24" iMac and my 2.13 MacBook white
without a hitch.

I have had no crashes at all. Ran on 2 Macs iMac and MacBoo 01.6.7

I have now abandoned TTPro, the Pref pane slows the Mac and the repair tool has really messed up my HD on several occasions.
Thank goodness DiskWarrior came to the rescue afterwards
DiskWarrior just updated the DVD online, you burn your own copy. It is now at 4.3
It cost nothing, you just need your original V4 DVD
The new version boots all but the latest MacBook Pros released a week or so ago.
It does take a long time to boot but then it is very fast to run the Volume rebuild.

This free version is garbage.
There is NO REAL TIME SCANNER so you have to get infected
and then only know that you have been if you run a manual scan!
Maybe Intego are not big enough to offer a free version like Sophos
Why would they, if they did nobody would buy the full version.
I use the full version and it is very good, with excellent support too,
despite all the negative comments in the past.
But then VirusBarrier X6 is NOT just a virus scanner, it has NetBarrier as well incorporated into it.
