Survey: Do you think iFFmpeg 4 should still work on the, by Apple, deprecated OS X 10.6.x? Even if this means we cannot implement some new API features?
Please let us know your opinion at info@iffmpeg.com (not here at MU please)

We received a lot of mails for our survey and we want to thank all participants for the great feedback!

Although the majority is using OS X 10.7 or higher (94%) we are looking for a solution to get iFFmpeg 4 to work with OS X 10.6.8
No promises are made though !

Regarding FFmpeg 2.1 binaries:
Although we fixed some things when using FFmpeg 2.1 binaries there are still some issues remaining. At this point it is not clear if this is a FFmpeg bug or iFFmpeg bug.
So for now please use FFmpeg 2.0.1

Version 3.0.9 has an issue with dropping files onto the iFFmpeg icon to launch iFFmpeg.
An error 'Unsupported/unknown format or corrupted file' is displayed.
The issue is resolved for 3.0.10 - soon available.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I need beta testers for the upcoming version 2.5
This new version has rewritten core code that is enabling some new future additions. Some are already been implemented (pausing the current converting process, partly new GUI, ...)

If you want to join the beta program you can send me a mail to info@iffmpeg.com

BTW As stated before, V2.5 will be Intel only. This difficult decision was made because we needed to go on. Said this, serious bug fixes will be added to the PPC version in the future.
