The Macupdate description of Little Snitch doesn't do it justice. Previous versions could only block outgoing connections, but Version 3 can also block incoming connections -- which makes it into a very nice firewall program.

For a long time, I've wanted a way to block attempts to crack into my Mac's ssh and vnc ports -- but I didn't set up a firewall because that would have kept me from logging in remotely when I'm out of town. Little Snitch solves that problem, because I can tell it to approve remote login attempts after a 15-second delay. This protects my Mac because malicious login attempts will terminate in less time than that -- but still lets me login to it.

This is undoubtedly the best RSS reader for Mac OS X. The developer has fixed both of the problems that I mentioned in my review of a previous version -- so I'm happy to raise my rating to 5 stars.

I'm very happy to find a Mac app that syncs to Feedbin, now that Google Reader's API is defunct. Having it also sync to Instapaper is even better.

On the other hand, I *really* wish that Readkit had a few more keyboard shortcuts, and that it wouldn't flash the screen at me every time it syncs.

Before switching to Keyboard Maestro, I used Quickeys for many years and built up a library of hundreds of macros.

Switching to Keyboard Maestro wasn't an option until recently, because I needed the ability for macros to be active everywhere except in specific applications. Most earlier versions of Keyboard Maestro didn't allow that, but the latest version does.

Switching to Keyboard Maestro has been a pleasant surprise. It runs faster, has a cleaner interface, and can do a few things that Quickeys can't.

I've been using TexShop for more years than I care to remember, and I have trouble imagining how I could live without it :-)

Like some others who have posted here, I've tried using TrashMe and several other uninstall apps. TrashMe consistently did the best job of finding all of the relevant files without finding any irrelevant ones. So I used it to uninstall all of the others :-)

The only problem I ever had with TrashMe was a few weeks ago when I tried to use it on an older version of OS X, and got a message saying it was incompatible. It might be useful if the developer could post links to older versions of TrashMe, because I believe one of them would have been compatible.

I'm very impressed. The interface both intuitive and highly capable, and it's not often that I see that combination in a piece of software this specialized.
