I wouldn't waste one second with this application. Even if you can get it work -- which is highly unlikely -- it's not very good.

This is an addendum to my earlier review of Postbox.

I've downgraded my original 3 stars to 2 stars. There are simply too many problems with this program to recommend to anyone. Not only is it slow and the interface awkward but there are too many problems. Emails not appearing in the all accounts INBOX; A search producing "no results" when in fact the email with the search string does in fact exist (I found it manually by going through individual emails one by one). Making changes to an email then losing the entire email (like poof disappeared). A few days ago I spent a good couple of hours editing an email after which I saved. Poof.. all changes disappeared. The app will NOT quit. I need to do a force quit.... and on and on. Sorry Postbox but I am bailing.

Yes. None of the previous issues where rectified. And now you want me to submit separate tickets for each problem. There are so many problems and the process of submitting support requests so intensive (3 pages)... sorry but it's just too much to ask.

I so wanted to love this product. Having to finally bury my loved Eudora this seemed to be the best option. It has some good features and is slightly more robust then Apple Mail. Unfortunately there are numerous drawbacks. The interface is awkward. Moving around to different folders and moving messages is cumbersome. Some things simply don't work. I've edited draft emails and then the email disappear. Or the edits do not "take" even though the changes were "saved." It's much slower then Eudora. Damn, Eudora just worked so well. Not being able to find an application that was as good is such a disappointment.

Glims has replaced most of the functionality of SHAFT but the one feature i really miss is the right click save page as pdf. Yes, I know I can do it through the print dialogue box but it's much slower and involves more steps. Does anyone know of another plugin with this feature???

I too have been using this handy utility for years. Allows me to custom the menus the way. I use it for quick access to Calendar Items, Address Book, Apps, files, weather. I deducted a half star for a slightly awkward cp interface

TIP for former SAFT users: I FINALLY discovered how to make real bookmark separators which was one of the handy features of Saft when it actually worked and was a nifty add-on (... a long time ago). Create a bookmark name: "-" and URL: "-:-"

Now if I can only find a replacement for the handy right mouse click to save a PDF (vs. print > save as pdf).

And once again DON"T BUY SAFT

BE WARNED:
This app does NOT work in Snow Leopard. Numerous problems have been reported. The developer does not respond to emails. But he is happy to take your money regardless AND dispute your paypal request for a refund.

That should something about the type of individual he is.
